I recently installed a Lightning Bolt A1.300 amp (300W RMS ) powering a 12" Infinity 1230W (reference series) sub which maxes at 1200W and 300W RMS. Can I turn the gain up on the amp all the way or do I risk blowing the sub? What are the factors involved here? I mean both are 300W ...

Has anyone else bought the Sirius tuner for Pioneer? I have the avh7500dvd and can't figure out how to get the Sirius display to be full screen instead of just showing a few characters on the top left. I can't get it to show the channel names where with my buddy's Audiovox fm mod ...

I am after a bit of advice if possible. Would anyone be able to tell me how to get a cd out of my car stereo once it has been removed from the dash. I removed the player when selling my old car but forgot i had left a cd in the actual player! Is there any way of getting the cd

new to this group as i have only just got my first car. i have a grundig 303 unit in there (rover 218 1.9TD) it has written on the metal case of it "cav 5913" so i am assuming thats the actual code, thing is, when i turn it on it reads "3104" and then changes to "safe" a few

The guy at Crutchfield suggested that a DVC sub driver driven with a 2 channel amp (one channel to each VC) would be better sounding then the same driver is a SVC version. Does this make sense? He said that the DVC sub would be more responsive? I also read where it's not a good

I've got a Clarion DXZ645MP (built-in Sirius support) that I purchased through Crutchfield and yes, installed myself (which I'm sure is where the problem lies). I had a couple Alpines in before the Clarion and for a good six months

I just purchased a DVC sub driver. I should have posted this before my purchase....Anyway, I bought an Infinity Perfect Sub 12.1D. Each voice coil is 4 ohms. I can wire the voice coils ( I believe in series)so that the driver becomes 2 ohms. The amp I have puts out
