Car audio can be one of the most frustrating roads that one chooses to travel. Without a hefty budget it just seems that I can't win. I was out of the scene for a few years, but I am slowly coming around again and already am having problems.

I'm after a decent brand of Head Unit with a USB connector to connect a USB memory stick with MP3's on it, and can control and play them through the H/U. There's a couple I've found on ebay, but they're shitty brands...

Finally blew one of my 5.25" component speakers the other day (I have a hard time keeping the volume down). I'm running them with an old Carver M240 amp (120x2). My proposed solution: I love Crystals, and MMXpress has their SSW5.25

I went to a local dealer this morning to have new amp installed for my sub. It was dead. Actually, the power light came on but there was no sound. I have never had that happen or heard of that happening. Any similar experiences?

I have a 1995 Civic (1.5L engine), and am going to be powering 4 amps. I know that I will be severely abusing my battery if I don't do some major electrical work. I was thinking a beefier alternator, a second battery in the truck, and possibly a cap.

I've got an Aiwa car stereo with a detachable faceplate. I've noticed in the past that sometimes the front drivers side speaker is not outputting any sound, or outputting very low sound, but sometimes sounds fine.
