Mo Equipment Mo Problems20 Mar 2005 21:43 GMT7
Car audio can be one of the most frustrating roads that one chooses to
travel. Without a hefty budget it just seems that I can't win. I was
out of the scene for a few years, but I am slowly coming around again
and already am having problems.
6x9 rear deck speakers20 Mar 2005 19:38 GMT3
I'm installing Infinity 3 way 6x9 speakers in the rear deck of an old
Chevy Corsica ('91).  I find out that nothing is lining up, mounting
holes must be drilled in the metal deck, the speaker holes in the deck
are too small, the hardware provided is totally baffling and the
Sensible remote for Alpine front end?20 Mar 2005 18:22 GMT1
I'm looking for a small, wheel-mountable replacement for the ridiculous
handheld remote that came with my new Alpine front end. I guess it's ok
if you have a passenger, a chauffeur or live in an RV, but how Alpine
expects people to steer, shift, use their cell phones and operate a
Good H/U with USB?20 Mar 2005 17:18 GMT9
I'm after a decent brand of Head Unit with a USB connector to connect a USB
memory stick with MP3's on it, and can control and play them through the
H/U.
There's a couple I've found on ebay, but they're shitty brands...

Tech expert help needed (crossover)20 Mar 2005 16:27 GMT3
Finally blew one of my 5.25" component speakers the other day (I have
a hard time keeping the volume down). I'm running them with an old
Carver M240 amp (120x2).
My proposed solution: I love Crystals, and MMXpress has their SSW5.25
New amp dead out of the box???20 Mar 2005 14:20 GMT4
I went to a local dealer this morning to have new amp installed for my sub.
It was dead.  Actually, the power light came on but there was no sound.  I
have never had that happen or heard of that happening.  Any similar
experiences?
Air flow over Amp20 Mar 2005 04:17 GMT9
I'm looking to creatively install a 4x50 Phoenix Gold amp in my Mazda 3
Hatch. The idea spot would be on a board in the rear of the car above
the slimline sparetyre and the floor of the hatch.
Would installing 12v 5" computer fans to keep air circulating over the
Electrical suggestions for an older civic20 Mar 2005 04:11 GMT1
I have a 1995 Civic (1.5L engine), and am going to be powering 4 amps.
I know that I will be severely abusing my battery if I don't do some
major electrical work. I was thinking a beefier alternator, a second
battery in the truck, and possibly a cap.
Help Please19 Mar 2005 23:15 GMT1
I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee. I put a JVC cd player in it a few years ago.
It worked really well for a long time. Last year, I think, it started
to every once in a while not play anything through the speakers. It has
some bars that go up and down to show that music is playing, and ...

A few questions about changing speakers on a 2001 Accord coupe
(Canadian model)
Can anyone point me to a manual/guide that helps replacing the speakers
easy? The rear ones shouldn't be a huge challenge. With some time i
Fake Radio Cover19 Mar 2005 17:19 GMT17
I just bought a new car and I'm ready to upgrade the horrendous stereo
that came in my Corolla -- Infinity Kappa speakers in front and rear
with two tweeters, my 10 year old McIntosh 50X4 amplifier and a
Nakamichi CD-500 deck.

Wondering if any of you could help.....My Audi was recently rear-ended.
It had body work, and then replacement of an oil pressure sending unit
and CV joint in the front.
The radio was working before repairs, and now it doesn't.  It
Cause of certain channels coming and going19 Mar 2005 09:05 GMT4
I've got an Aiwa car stereo with a detachable faceplate. I've noticed
in the past that sometimes the front drivers side speaker is not
outputting any sound, or outputting very low sound, but sometimes
sounds fine.
