Just out of curiosty, right now I have my 2 JL Audio 10w0's in a
sealed box running off a Rockwood Fos 401s.  It's a 2 channel amp that

quality in my previous, small car.  Now moving up to a bigger car, I
thought about trying something different so began looking on the web to
see what is available.  I did a lot of T/S calculations lately!

Is there some sort of online database that has a list of most makes and
models of cars/trucks and what size speakers they take?  I have a 2000
Silverado truck that I'm planning on putting new speakers in.

Hello. I just picked up the Alpine CDA-9827 HU for $198 CDN. For the
features I wanted, and that price, I don't think it can be beat.
I am running a Rockford Fosgate P2002 Amp which is driving my Infinity 1030W
10" Subwoofer. Now my questions are: (please excuse if stupid.)

My box is 7.5" deep and the driver has a mounting depth of 6.5".  Will
it be OK to have only 1" behind the sub?  What is ideal?

In my 2005 MDX, the Bose sub barely puts out any bass, so I was looking at
putting an amp before the sub. But I dont know whether there is a preamp or
not, and if throwing an amp in there will destroy it or not.

My buddy tried to put these new amps into his new ford. Wouldn't fit.
