ok right now I have Rockwood Fosgates 401s. I have one powering quality JL audio xr's (5x7 components) and one powering a sealed box of jl audio 10w0's. I am selling both amps. What would be the best solution for quality (NOT SPL)? a 4 channel?

ok, currently i'm running a set of JL Audio xr570 5X7 components amped by a Rockford 401s 2 channel. I have a pair of JL subs in the trunk and i want to downgrade to just head unit and no subs. I understand how much bass i'll be losing/missing, but will the XR's sound ok

Any comments on bridging the front left/rear left outputs and the front right/rear right outputs from a standard head unit (say, 35W x 4) to power a single pair of speakers (for those with only one pair of functioning speakers).

1. Is there some kind of ratio of power to balance your sub and fron speakers? I plan on getting 'a sub rated up to 250 watts rms (http://tinyurl.com/5kjbk) and 'the components are rated up to 75 watt rms' (http://tinyurl.com/4odfj).
