I have a Sears 10amp/2amp battery charger that I was thinking about using as
a power inverter for a Radar class I have to teach.  I was going to buy a
cigarette lighter socket adapter with bare leads and use this to hook up to
the pos and neg terminals of the battery charger.  I ...

an intriguing display. You can actually download videos and pictures to the
unit from the Kenwood dispaly site. I've also been informed that you will
soon be able to get a program that alows you to make your ...
Amplifier Temperature Gauge...  Thoughts?30 Aug 2005 20:12 GMT26
I've been thinking about installing a temperature gauge to moniter my
amplifier.  So far the cheapest one I've been able to locate (after
many hours of internet searching) has been a cyberdyne model which,
before shipping and tax, comes out to $67.97 with the gauge and sender.
Alarm install -- best location?30 Aug 2005 08:28 GMT4
I've been reading this group, and someone said that the location of
the alarm is very imporant.
I"m guessing that means it shouldn't be under the dash on the left of
the steering wheeel, because that's where everyone puts it.  Is that
Radio dead after battery replacement29 Aug 2005 20:13 GMT1
The battery on my Nissan Exterra recently died a natural death.
However, after the new one was put in, the radio (and related items
like the clock and CD player) do not come on. It does not appear that
any fuses have blown. Any thoughts? Thanks

ok so the amp is an orion 1200d (725W@2ohm) and the subs are 2 ascendant

Jeep Wrangler Amp Install28 Aug 2005 18:03 GMT15
I'm putting a Rockford Fosgate 100.2 amp and a Rockford Fosgate 12" sub
in my jeep wrangler to run w/ a JVC head unit.  Since I only have one
speaker, and limited space, I'm going to make a custom speaker box,
probably 14"x14"x10".  The box will go behind the back seat.  That
Splitting RCAs with a Y-Cable Question27 Aug 2005 16:59 GMT4
Just out of curiosity...  When you use a Y-Cable to split a single pair of
RCA outs into 2 pairs of outs, what exactly is being "split"?  In other
words, what are you losing?  Voltage?

Headunit decission time. Nakamichi CD500/CD400 or Pioneer DEH77MP?26 Aug 2005 12:22 GMT2
Yes, the Pioneer has MP3, but Naks have good sound quality.
But Naks have reliability issues, but Pioneers need an additional box to
enable AUX in, while it is straight standard on the Nakamichi.
Also Pioneer is ISO, while the NAK would need wiring.
