Reliability issues with Audison amps?23 Sep 2006 21:55 GMT5
Looking for good quality amps I stumbled upon an Audison reseller that
has a bunch of refurbished LRx series Audison amps for sale. He is
heavily discounting these refurbished amps. According to what I read
and hear they seem to be very high quality amps, but I am concerned by
hatching a plan - 04 Passat w/ monsoon system23 Sep 2006 21:10 GMT5
Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the passat Monsoon systems?
I'm considering a little upgrade to my wife's car, and would like to
look at what I'm getting into before I start.
In an ideal world, I'd like to bypass the Monsoon amp, and install my

Stereo Cuts Out at High Volumes22 Sep 2006 03:20 GMT31
I have an Infinit Basslink 200W hooked up directly to my battery (amp
is built in) and a JVC headunit with 2 Rockford Fosgate 3" and 2 RF
5.25" connected. When I turn the volume up, there is no distortion, but
the stereo cuts out on louder parts of the song. It almost sounds like
Speakers and amp power21 Sep 2006 18:56 GMT40
Let's say I have a pair of speakers that can handle 100 WRMS each.
What would be better for these speakers: an amp that can deliver
100 WRMS per channel, or an amp that can deliver 125 WRMS per
channel? Take into consideration that the system is playing at full
Re: Flame War BS21 Sep 2006 07:26 GMT8
So... I lurked for a week or two, posted for a bit, and sat back to see
what happens... This is where all the old schoolers went -- away.  this
sh*t is exhausting to look at. It was when I left, and it is now.
Face it we were ALL n00bies at one point - no, our umbilical chords ...
wired FM Modulator21 Sep 2006 02:42 GMT7
Up until a few weeks ago, my 98 Dodge Stratus was equipped with a
6-disc CD changer that operated via a wired FM modulator. I bought my
first portable MP3 player 3 years ago and the CD player has not been
used since then. I got a wild hair up my a.s to get the CD player out
How do I?21 Sep 2006 02:00 GMT24
How do I hook up an i-pod to my AC-Delco radio?
Is it better to over power or under power?
What is the short form for root mean square?
Will my amp run hotter if mounted upside down?
1970 Chevelle Radio Schematics/Manuals?21 Sep 2006 01:50 GMT4
I've been working on repairing the original radio from my brother's '70
Chevelle, and although I've got it working now at low volume, as soon
as the volume gets turned up a bit the audio amp goes into oscillation
and all one hears is a solid tone.  There are a couple of old

Decent system for US$1500.0020 Sep 2006 15:30 GMT12
I just got a new car, it is a 2006 Infiniti G35 and I want to improve
on the stereo system. Since I got my car stolen a few weeks ago I do
not want to spend a fortune on my system this time. I want to keep the
factory stereo (BOSE) and hook up some speakers, sub (single) and one
94 Corolla ; stereo won't turn on?19 Sep 2006 19:14 GMT10
I just recently bought a 94 Toyota Corolla. As it didn't come with rear

Anyways, factory AM/FM radio wasn't groovy with me, so I took the JVC

These are some old school items but I am sure they can be adapted to most
anything. I am sure as soon as I part with them I will find a use that I
