I am looking to replace my stock stereo (AM\FM CD) in this vehicle.  I want
to get a stereo that has GPS, CD, Sirius, Ipod control, HD radio, and an Aux
input.  DVD playback would be nice but not required but I would love DVD
audio to be played but that isn't necessary either but ...

I am about to buy a 2003 Ford Ranger with a base model radio that has a
broken power / volume knob. I also have a 2000 Mercury Cougar with a
nice radio, it is the one with CD and tape. I want to pull the radio
from the Cougar and put it in the Ranger.

I have one... I dont know what colour wire does what. I have no model number
as sticker is scuffed and faded :(. Are all kenwood radios standard colour
for  power and speakers? if so what are the functions of each colour or

I just bought a used rockford cap from a friend for $5, I think its a 1
farad but dont know all the lables and markings are worn off.  The
