I'm not sure where the best location to post this is, but this seemed a good one. I found a site (www.nastyz28.com) that told me how to find my casting number and engine id number (or 'serial'). I found both, and looked on the lists on that site and came up empty.

I replaced the transmission in my 92 Ford Ranger, with a new factory rebuild. It slips out of 5th gear when going down hill only, it stays in 5th fine on the highway etc. Any suggestions? (Other than not buying a Ford Ranger)

I've used something called "Seal Lube" found on eBay. My interest was caught by the amount of eBay feedback to the seller indicating it worked. The stuff is a clear liquid. It claims to be designed to re-swell seals. After about a week & 150 miles, all leaking stopped.
