made a mistake, how much trouble am i in now?26 Oct 2004 22:26 GMT6
I'm new to car repairs, generally, and today i wanted to change my
tranny fluid. Trouble is, the openings for the tranny and the drive
axel look very similar and i got them mixed up... So i ended up
dumping like 3/4 gallon of tranny fluid into the front drive axel
Should you torque wheels "unloaded"??26 Oct 2004 22:14 GMT6
Last time I had my tires balanced at Costco they torqued the wheel lug
nuts while the car was still approx. 6-8" elevated on the lift (ie
unloaded).  They cramed a steel wedge between the tire and the floor
to keep it from turining while they  torqued the wheel.
Low voltage after half an hour26 Oct 2004 14:02 GMT5
When I start my car up the voltmeter reads between 13.6 and 13.8
(I gather this is normal). But after I have been driving for
half an hour or more, it has gradually fallen to between 12.9 and
13.2 (It never goes lower than this). I think this is a problem
Crank & No Start - '97 S-10 Blazer Demons26 Oct 2004 10:01 GMT1
My '97 Blazer, equipped with the 4.3L, V6, has quit running. For several weeks,
the truck would start & run for a short period of time (15-30) seconds & die
with a harmony of clicking relays. It would do this multiple times before it
would stay running, but once running, it was fine ...

1998 Voyager- Front Wheel Studs Broken26 Oct 2004 03:56 GMT2
I broke 2 wheel studs while removing my front driver's tire to do a
brake job on my 1998 Plymouth Voyager... Is this something that can
easily be done by a pretty competent DIY'er ?
By the looks of it, I must remove the wheel hub... press out the

I have a '92 Buick Roadmaster with climate control heater.  The blower
fan runs even when the car is shut off and key removed.  Blower is

flywheel bolt sizes26 Oct 2004 01:40 GMT10
I am looking for a M12 X 1.50 pitch flywheel bolt, 20 - 25 mm long.  It
occurs to me that this may be a bolt used on import cars somewhere.  Does
anybody have an idea of this application?
The key is I'd like 12.9 specification on the bolt.  I have found some 10.9
Lumina Z-34 Running Rich26 Oct 2004 00:30 GMT1
Hello, all.  A while back I had the timing belt replaced on my 1991 Lumina
Z-34.  This vehicle uses the GM 3.4L DOHC engine (a love/hate object - it
also likes to devour alternators).  I am aware of a number of posts over
the years to this ng about replacement timing belts being ...

Wiring a Nippondenso Alternator25 Oct 2004 20:16 GMT1
I've got a 30 amp Nippondenso alternator that I bought with a bracket
to use on a Ford 3.8L V6.  Everything went together just fine but the
alternator came without any wiring instructions.
I just stopped by a starter/alterator and he was very helpful.  Beside
