I need to remove the radio in my wife's 2001 Protege to fix an intermittent display. I have the two side pieces of trim removed, now there are 4 additional hole that I can see going back into the radio. The dealer said all 4 holes had to be pushed in to remove the radio.

I want to put an independant power supply in my ford escort wagon. I envision a second battery bolted in in the back that i can charge while driving, but disconnect from the main supply when parked so i can run it down and still be able to start the car the next morning.
