looking for very small air commpressor????21 Oct 2004 05:56 GMT2
Looking for a small air compressor like the ones they use in cars to
fill the air suspensions    I need it to make at least 100 psi and the
smaller the better.  Anyone have any experience with these and might
be able to share some specs and size info?
93 Geo Prism Coolant Change21 Oct 2004 04:49 GMT1
When changing the coolant in a 93 Geo Prism (1.6l), is there a block drain
bolt, or does the radiator drain cock drain it all?  If so, where is it
located (Front, back, between which cylinders, etc.)?
Thanks.
Caprice Waterpump Causing Vibration  ?20 Oct 2004 22:55 GMT7
On my 85 Caprice with the 305 engine, my waterpump has a pretty worn out
bearing. I haven't replaced it yet, for various reasons. Lately I've noticed a
vibration in the accelerator pedal and steering wheel on acceleration
sometimes. If I rev the engine in neutral, I get a rough ...

Engine coolant light20 Oct 2004 17:41 GMT2
I have a Volkswagen Jetta (about 3 years old, 36k miles) and the engine
collant warning light comes on every morning (it's standing on a flat
driveway) - when I drive a couple minutes and restart the car the light is
off.
exhaust smell inside of car - Chevelle 197020 Oct 2004 15:19 GMT9
Its a 1970 Chevelle.  If you have all the windows up, you don't smell
exhaust, but if you have any windows open any amount you get
fumigated.
The exhaust goes straight out the back of the car below the bumper.

most powerful, but I know it could do a lot better.
I have done the following:
1988 Lincoln Town Car problem20 Oct 2004 03:05 GMT1
Does anyone know why my car would be unable to accelerate at a normal
speed?  I hear a popping sound coming from the engine, and the car
won't do more than 30-40mph.  It accelerates VERY slowly, like 0-30
"eventually" and won't go up hills without slowing alomst to a crawl.
acdelco sparkplug question20 Oct 2004 02:19 GMT1
acdelco has plugs r45tsx and r45ts8. The x is a wide gap and manual says .060
The 8 one is also wide gas and manual says .080.
Is the 8 one really manufactured differently than the x to allow  the wider
gap?

GM  4T60-E  Trans problem19 Oct 2004 23:43 GMT1
I have a 1996 Olds 98 with a strange tranny problem.
Within the last few weeks the night temps have been dropping.
When they get below 45 and the car sits for several hours there is a long
delay ( a minute or two) going from park to rev or fwd for the first time.
1995 Buick MASTER CYL Replacement Question19 Oct 2004 23:35 GMT1
I am going to replace the master brake cyl. on my 1995 Buick Le Saber
custom. The chilton book states several times that after the Master cyl is
changed The ABS system needs to be "auto bleeded" using a tech-1 or
equvilent. Dont have one and don't plan on spending $1,000+ for one ...

In my 85 Chevy Caprice I sometimes get a snapping sound ( a single
sound that you can hear and even feel slightly)  when braking, and the trans is
shifting from 3rd to 2nd gear.  Happens sometimes going from 2nd to 1st also.
Only happens after trans is warmed up, about ...
Rant: Designers19 Oct 2004 13:30 GMT30
Well, started out to dinner Friday night.  About 4 miles up the road,
smelled antifreeze, and heard squealing from under the hood. I figured
water pump bearings/seal gone, and got it over to the side of the road.
Had it hauled home yesterday and went parts shopping.  It is a '95 ...
