Could I have a sticky injector problem?19 Oct 2004 06:19 GMT2
My car is a 1990 Nissan Bluebird with fuel injection. The car has been
idling higher than normal and the car suffers from jerking just as you
accelerate and also as you deaccelerate (really annoying around town
in slow traffic!). When I disconnect the TPS the idle is higher again

Ford F150 Fuel Pump Relay -- where located in engine compartment?19 Oct 2004 04:45 GMT4
Have a 1990 F150 with Haynes manual.  Have dual tanks and both fuel
pumps  continue to run after motor is turned off.  Have to disconnect
battery to stop fuel pumps from continuing to run.
I suspect a faulty fuel pump relay.
Ford T-Bird Shudder19 Oct 2004 04:12 GMT2
I have a '95 T-Bird that has deveoped a shuddder at 1500 - 2000 rpm.
I've replaced the plug wires, plugs, TPS, and fuel filter. The engine
purrs in the drive way under no load. One curious point is that plugs
#5 and # 6 were wet before I changed the wires. I haven't rechecked
Brakes - 2002 Ford Excursion19 Oct 2004 02:53 GMT1
With just under 50K on the odometer I've had to have the front rotors
replaced 3 times, and the rears turned down.  After 10K to 15K miles I get a
real bad pulsation of the brakes.  When stopping from 40mph or faster the
steering wheel will move an inch or so as the brakes pulse.

I've spent a few hours and bloodied my fingers with metal braid... I give up.
What's the trick to getting an Aeroquip AQP hose to install into an Aeroquip
fitting?
I've used a sharp cutoff wheel... I can get the braid started in the fitting,

Alum cyl head repair19 Oct 2004 00:10 GMT8
Well, I've gone and done it again.  :-(
I was drilling a frozen exhaust stud out of an aluminum cylinder head and I
drilled too deep right through the bottom of the hole into the water jacket.
Is there any inexpensive way to repair this folly?   The head in question is
Best Garage conditions for Automobiles18 Oct 2004 21:11 GMT10
I recently purchased a very expensive automobile which I drive
moderately (6-8K miles/yr).  I am considering remodeling my home, and
one of the possibilities is to build a new garage facility.  What are
the best conditions to store a car?  I know that moisture is bad, but

I have tried turning them and pushing down but nothing I
do releases the old blade.
temp fix for plastic radiator crack?18 Oct 2004 16:37 GMT9
The upper radiator hose on my Ford Taurus connects to a plastic flange
on the top of the radiator. The flange is cracked and leaks coolant.
I am looking for a temporary fix that would last a week (after that
the car's headed to the junkyard).
1996 Mercury Hard to Start18 Oct 2004 06:53 GMT1
I have a 1996 Mercury 4.6 Grand Marquis.  It starts and immediately dies
two or three times.  It then runs fine the rest of the day, or until the
engine gets cold (after parking for 4 or 5 hours). I did a tuneup,
plugs, air and gas filters and PCV valve.

Got a question for y'all...
I have a '62 Stude with the optional heavy duty bypass oil filter (there
was no full flow filter provision until mid-62, after my car was built.)
I can still buy the cartridges for it, they're fairly common.  The
