Transmission Problem07 Nov 2004 01:26 GMT1
Without warning, my 2000 Chrysler Cirrus, just turned 70,000 miles
started having automatic transmission trouble.  It downshifts very
hard with a double thump feel as if it is shifting directly from D
ignoring 3 and going directly to low.  Afterwards, it will not upsift.
battery question06 Nov 2004 23:54 GMT19
I've got a '02 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  About three weeks ago, it suddenly
failed to start -- no lights, no chimes, no meters -- this just an hour or
so after driving it without a hint of battery problem.  The battery (which
came with the car) has one of those little windows in it, ...

Nitrogen Filled Tires06 Nov 2004 15:47 GMT73
Has anyone used nitrogen in non-low profile tires? I checked the pro's
& cons but haven't seen what it costs? It might even be good for the
common tires in trucks and family cars.
Tie Rod Boot repair help needed06 Nov 2004 14:48 GMT3
I own a 1991 toyota corolla. Today while changing the oil I realized
my tie rod boot has developed a crack and I found a surprising amount
of grease on every part on the inside of my wheel. I believe it is a
relatively new problem as there was still grease inside the boot.

I picked up a 91 eagle talon for dirt cheap. 2.0 L inline 4. It was
running pretty good and then all the sudden it won't rev past 4 grand

1990 Integra Emissions failure05 Nov 2004 15:35 GMT3
My 1990 acura integra did not pass Virginia emissions due to high CO2 at 25
MPH.  I think limit was 80 PPM and it tested at 140 PPM.  It has news plugs,
clean filters, and 173,000 miles.
Is this a simple mixture adjustment?  Thanks,

A while back a crooked shop broke a used transmission I bought to

'95 Toyota Camry rear suspension troubles?05 Nov 2004 02:03 GMT2
Hi.  My Camry is a '95 v-6 sedan LE and very well maintained.
However, even with new (correct sized) Toyo tires, I've now noticed the ride
becoming a lot harsher over this past year with the sensitivity of all the
little road bumps and imperfections.  In fact while riding over some ...
81 and Air Injection System04 Nov 2004 20:55 GMT9
I am rebuilding my 81 Camaro's Engine and am thinking about not
re-installing the AIR injection system.  Will the car run OK without
it?  I will leave all other pollution control systems intact.  The CCC
system has no check codes that relate to the AIR injection system so I
