Is there anyway to remove wheel bolt without air chisel?04 Nov 2004 13:45 GMT6
Is there anyway I can remove wheel bolt without air chisel?  The
other day I didn't know any better and tried to bang it with hammer.
I gave up soon enough so hopefully no damage to wheel hub.  It was
cheaper to take it to a mechanic 'though I don't like the idea of
Zero to one hundred in a blink of an eye04 Nov 2004 03:06 GMT9
=Problem=
On my way home, my check engine light came on and my speedometer
started going crazy. The needle doesn't do anything when I'm driving,
and when I push in my clutch, the speed needle starts freaking out. My
Question re: gas tank pressure and vacuum03 Nov 2004 20:08 GMT6
Does the charcoal canister regulate the pressure in the gas tank only
at rest, just keeping the tank at a slight positive pressure while
capturing the fumes?
If so, how is the negative pressure regulated when the engine is
K&N air filters are they any good ?03 Nov 2004 17:01 GMT61
Are K&N air filters any good. I have read much about them recently.
In fact I have ordered one to replace my standard paper filter. I pick
it up tomorrow $47 plus tax.
I.m not interested in more HP but the more air flow interests me

Bucking pickup!03 Nov 2004 06:35 GMT4
Hi;
I have an 89 Isuzu pickup 2.3L 4cy. 2bbl carb that bucks and
jerks when going through the gears.  When the throttle is wide open it
clears up and is also better when maintaining a steady speed.  It has
tradeoffs to using a chip to increase horsepower?03 Nov 2004 06:32 GMT9
Aftermarket chips claim to increase horsepower above OEM
chips in cars and trucks.
Assuming they're not simply increasing the rev limiter,
how is it that they're generating more horsepower?
96 Jeep Cherokee option question03 Nov 2004 04:55 GMT5
My FIL just picked up a 96 Cherokee in GREAT shape. It does have the
characteristic oils seepage at the rear seal and valve cover.
But not much else wrong. It does have one thing that I have no clue
about. Attached to the headliner between the visors is a factory sensor
exploding floor jack03 Nov 2004 04:19 GMT4
I posted a few weeks ago about my Wilmar w-1634 floor jack not lifting
high enough. The kid at the auto parts store told me to remove a screw
on the jack and fill from there. Well that was the check valve and
when I was trying to fill from the check valve the handle came down
fuel injector electrical problem03 Nov 2004 01:00 GMT3
I've got an 87 Ford ranger PU with a 2.3L fuel injected 4 cylinder
engine.  I've been having some serious driveability problems with it and
last week removed the throttle body and the valve cover to check the
operation of the valve train.  While I had access to the fuel
overheating and coolant leak02 Nov 2004 23:49 GMT5
My car overheated about a couple of months ago. The service station
changed the radiator, thermostat and the cooling fan switch and topped
off the coolant. It was ok for a couple of weeks and the car
overheated again. I saw that the coolant level inside the radiator was
so I'm taking it in.... 94 Towncar Tranny02 Nov 2004 22:36 GMT2
I didn't get a chance to get back to playing with the transmission fluid
etc., but I think a full flush is necessary and rather than go through 25
bucks worth of fluid and mess, I am taking the beast in under its own power
to have the transmission checked and flushe by a pro. They ...
Carberated motor wont idle02 Nov 2004 20:37 GMT13
I have a inline 6 with dual carbs that has trouble ideling when cold.
Here's the story, The head was warped, machined it, car sat for a while
while this was done, put it together and the oil pump failed causing the cam
to seize. Replaced the cam, had trouble ideling. Rebuilt the ...
Truck Cruising02 Nov 2004 15:29 GMT4
How do the typical 1/4-ton pickups (F-150 etc) rate as long-distance freeway
cruisers? If you were going to make half a dozen cross-country trips,
hauling little more than yourself, what would you look for and what's to
avoid? Opinions, of course!
