I am experiencing intermitting starting on my 03 focus se. Usually starts fine but once in a while when I turn the key to start position the starter does not go on. Everything else lights up. Turn the key back to off then to start the starter goes on and engine starts. any ideas.

I drive a 626, 1993 LX. I am having problems when I try to put the car into 1st gear. It just started today. Every other gear is smooth. It isn't slipping out of gear but I have to push to move it to 1st. Any ideas from anyone?

What does "VDO" mean, as in "I installed a VDO oil gauge to monitor my oil pressure"? Is VDO referring to the manufacturer, or to some technical attribute of the gauge?
