I just learned from my insurance company that if I install a car alarm
in the car, it will save $40 a year on auto insurance.
I've been looking on ebay for something inexpensive, but I figured I'd
ask here before committing to anything.  Any opinions on best DIY car

I have '95 honda accord EX coupe that I drove right into another car.
Specifically the radiator is busted along with some significant body
damage to the front.  (The frame may need to be rebent as well?)  At
any rate, for all I know the engine and tranny are still fine, as I

Have a 99 Lexus ES300 and the starter went out.  The car only has
54,000 miles on it, but it is 5 years old this month.  Can't seem to
find a definitive answer on the average lifespan for specific parts.
Parts and labor cost $450 at dealer.  I don't feel one way or the

Need help with touch-up paint on Hyundai19 Nov 2004 03:08 GMT8
About a few weeks ago there was an unfortunate accident which resulted in the
dripping of some very powerful glue from radio shack onto the drivers side
door.  I tried to wipe it off very quickly, but it only smeared and it became a
mess.  I tried everywhere to get that glue off the ...

I need a 302 V* for my 1985 F150 pickup, well, I ran onto this 1986 lincoln

Inspection Of A Car With New Emission Sensor:  Why 2 Weeks Mandated Wait ?19 Nov 2004 02:09 GMT7
My son has a '93 Toyota Corolla which just flunked the emission portion
of the Mass yearly inspection for a sticker.
Brought to a dealership who found a faulty sensor, and replaced it.
Presumably, it would pass now on a re-inspection at the local service
Loose oil filter consequences19 Nov 2004 01:48 GMT3
I own 1994 Toyota Camry. It had an oil change couple weeks ago and I
noticed that oil filter is loose so I tighten it up myself. Now my car
makes some slight clanking noise. Could it be result of loose oil
filter or is it something else?
'95 Camry headlight auto off switch?18 Nov 2004 18:06 GMT4
I used to leave the headlights on when driving my Camry in the
daylight hours.  Simply turning the car off and exiting the vehicle
would automatically turn off the lights, until recently.  I discovered
this when I returned to the car 8 hours later and the battery was
