Brought my 1994 Nissan Altima into a shop.
One thing that needed fixing is the battery cables; the clamps aren't in
good shape.
The price the guy quoted was about $250 *for each cable*.  In particular,

1999 Chevy Prizm, same as a Corolla.  AC compressor makes a
scraping/grinding noise when the AC is OFF.  I'm assuming this means the
clutch bearing?  How difficult is the R&R on one of these (car is my
wife's, currently elsewhere due to a move, elsewhere being someplace

if there are compression gauges with rubber push fit adapters, i start
wondering why we tighten spark plugs at all.
just screwing them in hand tight would give a pretty air tight fit.
when the engine gets hot they will be even more snug , right?

If the oil pressure light consistently stays on for 2 or 3 seconds after an
engine is started, but does not indicate any other problem (ie, doesn't come
on again)  is this an indication of any problem?

Replaced the front rotors on my 97 Accord (big job) due to it having a
serious rotor warping. Utilized Honda rotors. The pads were also ready to be
replaced. It looks like the previous owner had the cv joint boots go on both
sides and there was a serious amount of old grease ...

Just wanted to know if the 2800 / 3400 / 3500 / 3800 were all
interchangable with each other, or if any of them are. Specifically, was
wondering if any of the latter would swap into 1988 Beretta with the 2800.

Wow, I didn't realize the Mn legislature could move that fast. Before I
was able to gather my concerns and send them to my legislators, the
Minnesota house passed a bill requiring all gasoline sold in state by
either 2010 or 2013 to contain 20% ethanol.  I have seen no discussion ...
