87 Escort/KOEO/Fuel Pump Keeps Running...28 Jun 2005 19:35 GMT4
Good Morning. I'm working on an 87 Escort that has an intermittent
starting problem. When it doesn't start, I notice the fuel pump keeps
running for close to a minute when turning the KOEO. When it's not
throwing a hissy fit, the pump runs for it's approx. 5 second cycle
high beltline cars-fashion or structural28 Jun 2005 17:25 GMT8
Cars like the dodge magnum, chrysler 300, charger, do they have a  rear
visiblity problem? Seems like the rear side glass get to be pretty small. Is
this purely a aesthetic feature or is there a structural reason for it.
Could make the body torsionally stiffer. Seems to be ...
What a dramatic difference! (oil)28 Jun 2005 17:01 GMT1
I don't have any gauge data to back this up but I can tell you this,
I've been running 15W50 Mobil 1 in my Porsche 944. Just last week I
started a new job which involved a truly grueling commute around the DC
beltway. After sitting in stop and go traffic for a while in 90 degree

Daimler steel/plastic "alloy"28 Jun 2005 15:44 GMT41
Buying a new Chrysler van, and the salesman was tauting a new "alloy"
that he said Daimler developed.  He called it an alloy, but the
description seems to indicate a laminate, plastic on steel.  I am
assuming it is a single layer of each.  He said it provides both
testing car horn?28 Jun 2005 14:42 GMT1
To test a garage sale car horn I connected a jumper wire to the positive
battery terminal and touched it to the spade connector while the horn was
sitting on the car body. It honked once and quit. Did I do something
wrong? The horn has "V. 12" on the housing next ot the spade ...
Key growth28 Jun 2005 12:04 GMT4
We bought a new Chrysler minivan Friday.  The key has one of those chips
embedded.  Mopar keys have been growing lately in our last few cars.
This one is enormous! It does not fit in my keycase.  I hate to carry
keys loose in my pocket- they wear holes in the pockets.  Has anyone ...

250,000KM too high a mileage for 1995 C280 ?27 Jun 2005 22:28 GMT2
I have a choice between buying a 96 Mazda Millenia S or a 95 C280.
The mazda has about 115,000KM on it, fully loaded and is much cheaper.
The C280 has 250,000KM and is in immaculate condition. Appears to be
well maintained.
Unusual tire wear. Could it be due to struts or cv joints?27 Jun 2005 21:23 GMT3
Interesting that just after I had a mechanic, that I have never used
change my muffler, as soon as I drove it home I could hear a
"clunk-clunk-clunk' eminating from my left side of my 98 Maxima GXE.
Well since I previously had cv points replaced on another car, I

1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Automatic Transmission27 Jun 2005 08:11 GMT1
My Jeep autotrans is not working right now.  When we start the car it
runs fine until you hit 2nd gear and then it doesn't run smoothly and
doesn't change gears.   The reverse works fine. If you wait for 5
minutes and start going again it runs fine again.  I don't know
