The reason is basic: REDUCTION in weight + driving habits.  All nonessential
camshaft bearing clearance or wear ?11 Jul 2005 10:11 GMT2
Thanks to all who replied to my other post. I fear I have another question.
When checking valve clearances, I noticed that the valves farthest from the
distribution belt are influencing one another. That is, the inlet valve
clearance becomes higher when the outlet valve is open. ...

spells death to consumer cars, methanol over 6% in your fuel requires
serious modifications so forget it
As of 85% ethanol i dont know, what I do know is that my 2004 Nissan Sentra

I just bought a 94 dodge ram 2500 truck and am in the process of making
some repairs.  I noticed the throttle valve cable (kickdown cable) was
snapped and I replaced it.  I don't know how long it was driven like
this prior to me buying it.  I've heard that driving without this cable

Does sun bake rubber trim?10 Jul 2005 06:56 GMT28
My friend got a job in Florida (West Palm Beach) and is afraid to take
his new 530 BMW with him because "it's too hot down there". He is
afraid that the sun will bake out the plasticizers from the rubber
trim that is designed for colder German weather. What do you suggest?

compartment, just realized I don't know what I need for my alternator.

Mazda 626 coolant fan polarity reversed?09 Jul 2005 19:57 GMT4
What could cause a coolant fan to shut off when the engine is hot but to
run the rest of the time? The radiator temperature switch is new, (the one
near the thermostat housing). The only other sensor is at the bottom of the
radiator, but that's supposed to be for heater/air ...

Temperature Gauge Issues09 Jul 2005 15:47 GMT4
I drive a Plymouth Sundance 2.5. I'm having several issues with my

temperature gauge reads on the high side sometimes. This seems to only
happen in hotter weather when cruising the freeway at higher speeds
1995 Mustang GT 5.0 HO timing problem09 Jul 2005 15:23 GMT2
I am trying to determine the cause of a rough running 1995 Mustang GT
5.0 HO (150K miles).  The owner (who is inexperienced with engines) had
powerwashed the engine and then replaced the distributor cap, wires and
plugs.  The engine runs like hell.  I swapped the wires back to the
