New Clutch Slips Terribly but only after 10 miles - Dodge Stealth06 Aug 2005 14:31 GMT12
Had a new clutch put in my 2WD 1993 Dodge Stealth a month ago -
$900.00. It starts the day just fine with no slipping and quick
acceleration. After about 10-20 miles it starts slipping terribly in
all gears where the RPM's go from 2000 to 4000 without ANY
cleaning carbon from pistons06 Aug 2005 03:57 GMT15
while I am doing my head gasket, I decided to clean the piston tops because I couldn't stand looking at them.
#4 cleaned up real easy (rag and brake cleaner).  #1 proved to be a pain.  I
got a chisel type scraper from the parts store that said it was for cleaning
carbon and scraped ...
How to remove a stripped timing tensioner bolt?06 Aug 2005 03:29 GMT21
Ok, so disassembling everything for my head gasket replacement WAS going
well, in fact all too well, so fate had to do something drastic.  Got
everything off except the intake manifold and cam sprocket.  I go to
slack the timing belt, and the bolt head on the tensioner is COMPLETELY
cig lighter battery charger05 Aug 2005 21:29 GMT7
I've had the third alternator burn out on my buick 93 the
other day, and I had to have it towed. I was wondering about
those battery charging boosters that fit into the cig lighter.
Would that give you enough charge to get to the garage with
Improving A/C Performance05 Aug 2005 20:55 GMT8
Hey all, I have a 1985 Corolla SR5 (AE86) and the air conditioner
doesn't cool very well. It has a new compressor, expansion valve,
high-side line, and drier. The fan clutch is also new.
It has plenty of refrigerant (25-35 psi low, 250 psi high) and was
Ford E150 Emissions05 Aug 2005 17:36 GMT1

1995 Olds Cutlass Steering Gear Question05 Aug 2005 03:59 GMT3
How do I get past the plastic or rubber seal at the firewall in order
to remove the the intermediate steering shaft lower pinch bolt? I need
to do this so I can separate the intermediate shaft from the steering
gear.
how tough are o-rings?05 Aug 2005 01:31 GMT6
Behind my oil pump cover, there are two o-rings, one that seals the crank,
and one that seals the tensioner bolt hole, and the rest is sealed with RTV.
In torching the tensioner bolt (and pulley...) in a previous attempt to get
the bolt off, a lot of smoke was produced.  I hope it ...
Turn signal, 93 grand prix05 Aug 2005 00:51 GMT3
The turn signal just stays lit. All lights work, but don't blink. The
hazards work fine. I was told to replace the flasher, but I can't find it.
There is no relay or flasher located anywhere in any of the fuse boxes.
Where is it located.
new head - to re-ring or not04 Aug 2005 23:19 GMT8
I seem to be picking up a lot of dissonance on this issue.  All over the net
I see people tell stories about how they took in their high mileage head for
a valve job and milled flat, and they were thrilled that the motor ran like
new thereafter, perhaps with a gasket shim to restore ...
th200 interchange with a th350?04 Aug 2005 22:47 GMT7
I have a 76 Camaro dirt track car that smoked the th350 in there last
race...
A friend of mine gave me a th200 from a 77 Nova.
From what I've read it should bolt up to the mounts and the length
Guess on horsepower???04 Aug 2005 22:37 GMT10
Good afternoon all,
Maybe this is an amateur question, but based on the build specs below,
does anybody have a rough idea (or ballpark guess) of what kind of
horsepower this engine could generate? I have yet to get my car dyno'd.
Wheels for an old axle04 Aug 2005 21:00 GMT3
On my farm we have an old trailer that was built using some sort of Ford
truck axle. The trailer is at least 45 years old, so the axle must be over
50 years old. It is definitely a Ford axle since it has the Ford script on
the bearing cap. The wheels are the old split rim type. ...
Changing Transmission Fluid and Filter on Mazda Millenia V6 2.5 L04 Aug 2005 19:25 GMT1
I have a Mazda Millenia 2000 V6 2.5 L (the non-supercharged  version)
and because of travel / car-pooling, only have 47,000 miles on it..
I've read some Mazda websites and other dealer recommended maintenance
schedules, which say to have the tranmission fluid and filter changed at ...
