Function of spark plug04 Aug 2005 18:44 GMT4
What is a good spark plug? In terms of performance.
Function of spark plug is to give a spark to air+fuel mixture. If a
$.99 spark plug is doing its job, giving a spark, then why use an
expensive one?

emissions test-high NO reading - what to look at04 Aug 2005 13:56 GMT2
My cousin has a 92 isuzu rodeo (v6) that failed the california emissions
test in the NO reading. The numbers were a bit worse at the low speed
reading than the higher speed check. What should be checked under the hood .
The cat was replaced a couple of yrs ago with a generic cat.

Corolla under and over heating04 Aug 2005 01:20 GMT3
1985 Toyota Corolla, 245K miles.
For several years, it's been running cold (i.e. no heat, temperature

More recently, it also runs hot (temperature gauge at 10 o'clock)
Air Conditioner Rattle/Ticking after belt change04 Aug 2005 00:52 GMT5
I have a 93 Ford Probe.  Just changed the overly worn belts and now I
have an annoying rattle/ticking coming from the passenger side (where
the belts are).  The A/C always worked excellent before this belt
change.  Now it is just average (sometimes intermittent) and the noise
Help, cant turn off Air conditioning!!!04 Aug 2005 00:48 GMT9
I recently had my car stereo stolen. The A/C switch was broke or
disconnected. So I find that the cool or hot air is always coming out.
Depending on what setting I have the temperature set to. The switch
that increases the force of the air still works. So luckily I can turn

Have a '97 Buick Le Sabre with 60,000 miles on it.
Brought it back to the dealership today for an oil change, and they
recommended (strongly) that I also have a "transmission flush" due to having

than a petrol engine - is he right ?
