Strange tire wear15 Aug 2005 07:26 GMT6
75 Chev 3/4 ton van.
The vehicle has started wearing the inside of the right rear tire.  It is so
bad that it produces very noticable wear in only a few hundred miles.
There is, of course, a solid rear axle, so I don't see how there can be any
bogging down while accelerating15 Aug 2005 02:09 GMT4
I've got a 94 dodge ram 2500.  My cat. converter recently became
plugged up and my truck began to bog down severely anytime I applied a
little more than light pressure.  I busted out the guts of the cat.
hoping that a chunk of honeycomb was preventing full exhaust release.
Synthetic oil in a Jag ?14 Aug 2005 22:28 GMT4
Wondering if this is even feasible or if there's any virtue
to using synthetic oil.
Jags are different when it comes to engine lube.....
they use 50wt as opposed to the usual 30wt oils.
Are strut spring spacers any good?14 Aug 2005 18:05 GMT4
I have a 91 Toyota Camry LE.  I know that my front struts are worn and
need replacing.  I have done this procedure before and will be doing
it myself again.  However, because my car is "bottoming" on occasion,
I think that my springs are bad.  I am having a hard time locating the

Overheating and headgaskets14 Aug 2005 07:15 GMT13
My car when idling does not overheat at all.  If does overheat when it
is in drive.  Does that mean that the headgaskets are gone or could it
be something else?  Thanks.
repair quote14 Aug 2005 02:12 GMT3
I have a 1993 eagle talon tsi that was smoking extravagantly and than died
on me.  I started to take the engine apart and saw the timing belt was
torn and the spark plug wires were melted on the ends.  How much would the
repair be to replace the torn gasket(s), timing belt and spark ...

spots in an enamel paint job12 Aug 2005 22:11 GMT4
About 10 years ago I used DAR Acrylic Enamel by PPG on my bike and it
turned out great.  This evening my son and I painted a new fender panel
on his Sebring with it and it showed promise, but had some really nasty
dimpled spots over most of the area.  I had him clean the new panel
'99 Blazer A/C Compressor knocking, cold air while driving, but warm air at idle.12 Aug 2005 18:44 GMT10
I have a 1999 S10 Blazer 4x4 and this summer the compressor has
developed a knock that is louder at times then other times. It still
blows cold while driving, but only blows warm at idle. The compressor
clutch never shuts off so I know it isn't the low-pressure switch or
1998 Mazda Protoge- RPM drop really low during idle12 Aug 2005 17:13 GMT1
Recently, my Protoge will go almost dead when I am sitting in idle.  The
RPM's stay right under 1000, but then will drop to about 200, then go
almost dead.  Sometimes, the battery and check engine light will flicker
as it is about to die.  We recently had it serviced and all the ...
