I've got an '84 Pontiac w/ 2.8L 173CI V6 (really a Chevy V6). The orig
choke has been acting up, barely sets on a slightly cool morning and

What can cut off the current supply to the fuel pumps to shut them down
while driving? This happened to me already twice in one year. The car
would not start again until I jump start one of the pumps with external

This van backfires out the intake (once) under moderate to heavy load.  It
also misses at idle during cold operation.  The miss disappears as it warms
up.  The backfire remains.
I replaced the worn out plugs, wires, cap, rotor and PCV.  This improved the

So recently, I bought a 1990 Jetta that runs, but makes a lot of noise.
(Some of this is due to a hole in the muffler.....)
I changed the oil over to synthetic, bacause it's over 100k miles.  But

only gasoline with octane rating of 95 is available.
They call that onealready 'super plus extreme',
but I need a bit more 'extreme' as my motor needs octane 98.
