I just caught part of a news item on television that seemed to say that congress was considering a suggestion that All gasoline would be required to be an ethanol blend at fairly high ethanol content. Apparently a move to reduce gas prices.

When was the last production car with a carburettor made? I have a 1984 VW with a carb and I was just looking at a 1986 Firebird with one but when did they all go to fuel injection? Just curious.

Is there any truth to the oft-repeated wisdom that running high octane (91-93) gas in a motor that is designed for 87 octane will leave carbon on the pistons, thus increasing compression and necessitating use of the higher octane until the carbon is removed? I don't even know where ...
