6 months ago my battery went dead on my 2000 Toyota Avalon (58K miles).
I replaced with Sear DieHard  battery. In a week or 2  I started to
notice that the  door lights flicker as well as the dashboard (odometer
display) and the day lights, the local Toyota dealer told me my

i have 1990 towncar [signzture series]. the car was running fine then it
started to stall every once in awhile [ when i came to a stop at a
light/stop sign] the car would immedately start up again. so i went and
had a oil change with flush [get out any sludge], had the injectors

Hello all My Savanna has been running horrible since I replaced the in-tank
fuel pump.  The comp. is now spitting out A-B bank rich code all O2 sensors
have been changed and has had no effect...The dealer wants 65.00 up-front
to hook it up to their machine....anyone have Any

I just caught part of a news item on television that seemed to say that
congress was considering a suggestion that All gasoline would be
required to be an ethanol blend at fairly high ethanol content.
Apparently a move to reduce gas prices.

When was the last production car with a carburettor made?
I have a 1984 VW with a carb and I was just looking at a 1986 Firebird
with one but when did they all go to fuel injection?

Here's my sad tale...
91 GMC pickup with new HT383 engine & Edelbrock MFI catches fire
(probably trans fluid leak on exh). The truck is gutted by fire. The
hood was down the whole time. All non-netal parts are gone. Engine paint

Is there any truth to the oft-repeated wisdom that running high octane (91-93)
gas in a motor that is designed for 87 octane will leave carbon on the pistons,
thus increasing compression and necessitating use of the higher octane until
the carbon is removed?  I don't even know where ...
