Source for Infiniti Wheel Paint?06 Oct 2005 19:48 GMT6
I am looking to re-finish the wheels on a 2003 G35. They have what I might
call a smoked silver or perhaps titanium paint finish. The dealer doesn't
carry wheel paint and doesn't have a source.
Thanks,
Trouble taking apart alternator06 Oct 2005 18:47 GMT10
My alternator stopped "alternating", so I took the one out of my
"parts car" to replace it with until I could deal with the problem.
However I did something really idiotic. I broke the positive terminal
bolt. So I have a working alternator that I can't use. I assume that the
Hesitation on acceleration06 Oct 2005 12:22 GMT4
Something is wrong with the car!  It is a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
with 90,000 miles.
I wasn't beating on it, nothing unusual. All of a sudden I thought I
felt a little hesitation when accelerating from about 40 - 60mph. I

Bad AAA Tow, New Tires, Do I need to pay for perfect alignment?05 Oct 2005 02:25 GMT7
I recently had a bad AAA tow and put four new tires on my car yesterday
(98 Buick  Century). The garage said they couldn't align the car to
specifications because of how the tow bent the parts connecting the
rear tires (I don't know anything about cars).
do mufflers give you that hot rod engine noise?05 Oct 2005 02:24 GMT16
i am looking at an antique truck. The original engine was replaced with a
Chevy 350 crate engine. Otherwise it looks original. Problem is, when you
start the engine it sounds like a hot rod -- throaty muscle car type of
sound. I want a sedate old car sound. My question -- is this ...

Lately I've noticed that when I gear down from second to first, the
Removing city sticker04 Oct 2005 18:23 GMT14
My wife just got herself a new car and we're in the process of
transferring state and city licenses before we donate the old car to a

We've obtained transfer documents for the state plates and they've
Power window won't go up 1995 Ford Crown Vic04 Oct 2005 15:00 GMT5
I'm new to the group. The problem that I need help with is that the
front passenger side power window won't go up on our 1995 Crown Vic. I
just saw a post tonight, in which someone else seemed to have the same
problem, but I couldn't find any answers to his post. According to my
Pinging Jeep04 Oct 2005 14:22 GMT2
looking for ideas on why our 98 Jeep Grand with a 4 liter pings with regular
gas when pulling our 19 foot camper. When I put premium in  it does ok , but
I thought the Knock sensor would adjust timing to run on any fuel. Is my
Knock sensor bad ? I've got no check engine lights . ...
Glue-on rear mirro04 Oct 2005 12:53 GMT5
The rear view mirror fell off our 1992 Explorer. I got some rear view
mirror adhesive glue and reattached it to the windshield glass and the
next day it fell off again.  I may not have removed all the old adhesive
and am going to try to glue it on again...this time removing all ...
Smokey Chrysler04 Oct 2005 00:44 GMT5
My 88 Chrysler started to smoke so the head gasket was changed. When the
head was off I noticed the #1 cylinder was oily and black. I thought
changing the head gasket would cure the problem but still smokes . Could
the valve guide/oil seals be the culprit?
Gradually increasing road noise '95 Toyota04 Oct 2005 00:06 GMT15
I'm getting a gradually increasing road noise on a '95 Corolla, 80k
miles. The noise is pretty anoying (can't hear the radio).
I had previous experience with road noise getting louder on Japanese
cars around 10 years old.

My gear was in R.  While my foot was on the brake pedal and I had come
to a complete stop, I absentmindedly turned off the engine.
Question:  Did that affect the transmission in a bad way?
