1998 Saturn SW2 wheel spec question21 Oct 2005 21:38 GMT3
By any chance, does anybody know the wheel offset (or wheel backspace)
specification for OEM black steel wheels on a 1998 Saturn SW2? I know
that they are 15" diameter, 6" wide rims with a 4x100 lug pattern, but I
can't find the offset anywhere on the 'Net.

What's the best way to remove a junkyard crankshaft bolt?21 Oct 2005 03:50 GMT14
Those things have like 150 ft lbs of torque on them; I've always used
the hillbilly method of putting a breaker bar on the bolt, and cranking
the engine. (taking the usual precautions, of course)
Most junkyard cars don't have batteries and rarely seem to have starters.

my son has a 90 beretta gtz with an after market sway bar. the shop he took
it to said they had to cut the stabilizers to replace with new ones.now the
steering is harder than before and when the wheel is turned there is a loud

How the #$!% do I disconnect this '95 fuel line? 20 Oct 2005 12:52 GMT1
Heya, working on a 1995 Ford E250 cargo van 4.9L L6 with 176k miles.  The
fuel filter looks like it hasn't been replaced since it came off the
production line..  My old '93 Taurus had those easy to remove plastic clips
that secured the fuel line to the filter.  The lines on this van ...
broken key20 Oct 2005 07:23 GMT3
I hope this isn't too far off subject. I'm wondering if there is any
way to get part of a broken key out of a key hole in my car.
And on that note, does anyone make keys out of something that doesn't
break so easily?
bizarre voltage measurement20 Oct 2005 05:08 GMT11
I unplugged my battery completely, and put it on my garage
floor. But my voltmeter still shows +4V from my car chassis to
the +ve terminal, and 3V from the -ve terminal to the car
chassis. In fact it shows various voltages to random other
Taurus: power seat and power locks stopped working20 Oct 2005 03:48 GMT1
The power seat and power locks stopped working on my
1995 Taurus.  Both, plus the electric windows, use the
same breaker.  But the windows work so it can't be the
breaker.  Both stopped working at the same time.  My

Power seat problem19 Oct 2005 22:52 GMT3
The driver's side power seat on my 1995 Ford Crown Vic won't go
forward. It will go backward, but not forward.  There is no obstruction
under the seat.  Is this just a motor problem?
crankcase vapors causing valve cover leak?19 Oct 2005 18:16 GMT17
For quite a while, I've had an oil leak from the driver-side valve
cover.  I've replaced the gasket once or twice, and I thought I did it
right, but the oil still gets onto the exhaust manifold and smokes and
