How do I Connect my Dwell Meter19 Oct 2005 16:37 GMT8
I'm doing a tune up on my '62 Chrysler and want to check the dwell.  I have
a Craftsman analog Engine Analyzer with a dwell meter function.  It has a
positive and negative cable with clamp connectors and a set of wires hooked
up to a smal metal plate with a couple of notches in ...
smart car - air bag19 Oct 2005 16:15 GMT11
A friend went over a pothole in her Smart Car and the passenger airbag
deployed.  The dealer told them that air bags are not covered in the
warranty.  I appreciate that, if you have a crash, sorting out the air bag
is your responsibility, but going over a pothole??

1992 Honda Civic DX issue19 Oct 2005 06:48 GMT4
I have the vehicle named above.  This morning after driving to work, I
noticed that the engine temperature was much higher than normal, and
there was coolant on the ground.  Then I tried the heat in the car, and
only cool air would blow out from the heater.  I turned off the car
Ignition Switch Problem, Geo Metro19 Oct 2005 02:23 GMT3
New ignition switch?
1990 Geo Metro. When I bought the car, the tip of the ignition key had
already broken off inside the switch, and remains there. No problems
until yesterday when I parked, switched the car off, took the *key* out
96' Grand Am Issues19 Oct 2005 01:59 GMT2
My 96' Grand Am has developed some strange problems in the past few
days. A little background info on the car: It has the 2.4L, 4 Cyl, DOHC
motor in it. The car has 126K miles, and has been well maintained over
the past few years that I have owned it. All filters, plugs, most

91 Camry, Vibrates too much when stopped in gear19 Oct 2005 00:58 GMT5
I have a 91 Camry LE with automatic trans.  I also have an ac.
Recently, I have noticed when I stop at a light or stop sign, the car
vibrates noticeably.  If I put the car in neutral at the stop light or
sign, the vibration goes away and runs smoothly.  What would be
dual exhaust question18 Oct 2005 22:53 GMT5
On V-6s, is there any reason not to have duals on each side straight on
back, no crossover?  It'd be a 3 / 3 split, one pipe off each manifold.
Or, is that the norm, these days.  Been years since I've fiddled with duals.
loosen screw18 Oct 2005 17:11 GMT6
I am trying to take the AFM off the carb in a 1992 Nissan Sentra but
one of the screws is stuck. It is a Philips and I don't want to wreck
the screw head and  cause more problems. Is it true that using a
larger screw driver may work?
Highway noise18 Oct 2005 15:41 GMT4
Is there a way to check the bearings/drive shaft
on a  2000 Grand AM?  The noise is intermittent
as just sometimes it runs down the highway just
fine and feels smooth as can be, and others it
93 Buick Lesabre. Possible security lockout, or something else?18 Oct 2005 06:14 GMT3
I'm stumped. My dad and I are trying to fix my 93 Buick Lesabre which
isn't starting. At first I was seeing the SECURITY light on the dash. I
took it to a shop and they told me it was the key and/or tumbler. They
showed me that by turning the key to the 'on' position and then
Mixing Tire Sizes18 Oct 2005 00:41 GMT3
I have a 1987 Corolla 4 door hatchback which came with 155SR13 tires.
These are becoming very difficult to find.  The car has two good rear
tires but needs front tires.  Can I put a different size tire on the
front, such as 155-80-B13, or is this a bad idea?

Humid weather - rough idle and no power with cold engine17 Oct 2005 19:11 GMT15
My car Mazda 626 '91 exhibits some strange behaviour in humid (rainy)
weather. When I start it cold, the engine does not idle smoothly, and
has some sort of vibrations (fairly quick ones). This is an engine with
the injectors.
