What's the sensor on the air box called?30 Nov 2005 22:29 GMT19
       I have a 97 Buick Riviera with GM's 3800 II 3.8 engine

the air filter. I am assuming it's to tell the computer what the
temperature of the air is. Is this correct? Also does anyone know what
NPR "Car Talk" never discusses NEW CAR epidemic flaws!30 Nov 2005 22:20 GMT18
Wonder why we never hear about epidemic flaws in NEW cars on National
Public Radio's CAR TALK. (cartalk.com)
Is the show more interested in hiding new car epidemic flaws from the
public  (to protect the interests of manufacturers), than it is warning

Stated out that the driver side arm didn't go all the way down during
use.  Hubby tried to adjust by loosening nut and moving arm.  This
resulted in arms banging into each other.  He "adjusted" again and I am

Quality of Beck/Arnley parts30 Nov 2005 15:13 GMT4
How good is Beck/Arnley products compared to, say, AC Delco or Denso or
the Advance/Autozone house brands? The price is vastly better ($67
compared to $100 for the house brands and $150 for AC Delco). I'm
looking at a remanufactured alternator for a 1985 Corolla SR5.

I have a 96 Sentra GXE.  The engine has been overheating recently and
I have conducted quite a bit of diagnosis on it to determine the
problem.   There a bunch of things I have eliminated because I have
changed the parts in a similar overheating problem last year.  I have
fuel pump29 Nov 2005 18:46 GMT2
If the filter and strainer on an electric fuel pump were totally clogged,
wouldn't the pump still make a noise, on the initial prime, couldn't you
still hear it, even though it wasn't pumping gas?
On some electric motors, I can hold the output shaft and it won't turn,

If I just move the slider to maximum heat, but keep the fan OFF, does it

My 94' Caravan's heater works great, in early winter I don't need to turn on
the fan. It gives out lot of hot air though. I guess it uses recycled heat
