Blower Quits on Acceleration!10 Nov 2005 06:46 GMT2
I have a 92 Ford E-250 van. On the highway, cruising at say 60 MPH, I
encounter traffic or a hill. I accelerate to pass or maintain speed up the
grade, the blower cuts out. Doesn't matter whether I'm using the AC, Vent or
Heat; the blower just quits & doesn't come back on unless I ...
Could Fixing PCV Also Fix Fuel Pressure?10 Nov 2005 04:09 GMT4
My street rod has a 74 Chev truck 350 - stock except for Mallory
ignition and Holley 4-barrel. When I got the car, the PCV valve and
hose was intact but the breather hole in the opposite valve cover had
been plugged - no clue why. I fixed this by installing a nipple in the
Nissan speed sensor removal10 Nov 2005 02:42 GMT3
I want to check the transaxle fluid level on my 95 200SX with manual
xmission (there is some evidence of a leak and second gear is getting
balky in cold weather). My crappy Haynes book implies that you remove
the speed sensor to do this. I removed the hold-down screw and can
heater fan works sometimes10 Nov 2005 01:55 GMT2
I have a 1990 Mazda 626.
My heater fan has a mind of its own. When I turn it on sometimes it
works sometimes it doesn't.
Any advice?
tire (or what?) noise09 Nov 2005 23:58 GMT3
Any ideas what this is?   My dodge truck has been making a noise at the
front left tire....I can only describe it as a "flapping" noise (at
least thats the sound when I'm going fast enough, like over 30 mph),
and the speed of the flapping is 100% correlated with the speed of the
Bleeding Brakes09 Nov 2005 23:40 GMT8
I haven't bleed the brakes for a number of years. The last time was on
a 1972 triumph spitfire which did not have power assisted breakes.
Here it the method I used back then:
1) start from the farest wheel cylinder and work to the closest.
Blocking a hole09 Nov 2005 23:22 GMT7
I'm changing the intake manifold on my car, and there's a water channel in
the cylinder head that's going to end up being slightly exposed. That is,
the flange of the stock manifold covers it up, but the flange of the new
manifold covers about 3/4 of the hole only.
Regaining the shine09 Nov 2005 21:50 GMT3
My 93 Camry polishes pretty well but never gets  show-room shine.  So I
guess I need a ......  cutting compound ???  I'd appreciate any advice
thanks,  John
front end shaking09 Nov 2005 18:38 GMT12
I have a '93 Ford Explorer with the XLT trim. When I get up to about
63MPH the passenger seat starts to vibrate and shake along with the
steering wheel a little. This continues to 75MPH when it stops. The
tires have all been balanced and they're all new, and an alignments
Jackstands for American V809 Nov 2005 15:56 GMT3
Would this work alright on a Chevy Caprice? I need to take the
tension off my front sway bar, so I can replace one of the endlinks. I
thought I would use jackstands right behind the tire-changing jack
points on the frame. I would jack up one side, place a jackstand right
2 blown blower motor fuses in a row!09 Nov 2005 13:53 GMT13
Hi, I have a '91 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 L. My blower motor no longer works. When
you switch through the different settings (vent/heat/defrost/etc.), it
sounds like the motor is trying to work since in the background as you can
hear a very slight humming noise of a motor, but nothing ...

Daniel Stern was right again...08 Nov 2005 22:47 GMT22
On the recommendation of a poster to a Porsche forum I frequent, I
bought some LED dash light bulbs for my 944.  Haven't tried those yet
but on a whim, I also bought a pair of 1157 style LED bulbs for the '55
coupe, just to see if I could a) get some more light out of my
Need Car Repair Advice08 Nov 2005 19:21 GMT7
We have a 96 Neon with two oxygen sensors. According to one mechanic,
the one by the exhaust pipe was not working properly and should be
replaced. Another mechanic said it wasn't necessary because it would
only affect emission. The computer would automatically follow the
