Someone from rec.autos.driving sent me here - so this is crossposted:

The steering column on our 83 Diesel Rabbit started making a loud knocking

part of the bearing or a bearing retainer. I could push the ...

Down with Sylvania30 Dec 2005 16:48 GMT44
I bought a set of H1 SilverStars. Installed them without touching the bulbs.
After almost 3 months the left bulb blew as soon as the headlamps were
turned on. I returned the lamps for a replacement. After about 2 months both
bulbs blew simultaneously when turned on. The car is an ...

Would a bad ballast resistor cause an 86 F250 not to start?30 Dec 2005 06:22 GMT17
       I have a 1986 F250 7.5l 460 engine with the Duraspark II
ignition system. Would a bad ballast resistor cause my truck to not
start at all? It turns over fast but never even tries to start. It was
working fine and then I started messing around with the wires because
Delco 10SI, how much noise? and other questions30 Dec 2005 01:59 GMT7
Just curious, is it normal for a Delco 10SI to make an audible noise
while running?  I have tried two different units in my '55 Stude and
both are somewhat noisy.  One is the one that was in the car when I
bought it.  The other is a reman that I believe to be of dubious
1994 Aerostar will not start29 Dec 2005 10:51 GMT4
My 1994 Aerostar just recently will not start all the time.  It began when

gas in it and it started all the time for a few days then one day it was
below 1/2 tank and it would not start.  Later in the day it ...

Power Steering Fluid Leak - Mercury Sable29 Dec 2005 01:48 GMT1
I've been trying to figure out why a Mercury Sable 89 vehicle is
leaking power steering fluid where it has to be filled up every day to
every other day.  It has a 3.0 V engine.  The leak looks like it's
leaking right above the exhaust pipe.
Turn Signal Lever Problem28 Dec 2005 23:27 GMT2
I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee which the turn signal has came apart.
