Montero Sport - spark plugs13 Dec 2005 04:18 GMT2
2001 Montero Sport with 3.0 liter engine.  At 65,000 miles, I suspect
it's time to change the plugs, but dang!!  Do I really have to pull the
fuel injection to get to them?  Please, someone, tell me there's a
trick to make this easier.
Checking Antifreeze in a 2001 Gallant13 Dec 2005 02:26 GMT2
My GF went out and bought an antifreeze tester. It's the kind with the
short rubber hose. She says when she went to check it from the
overflow, the hose wasn't long enough. (The level was properly
between the fill marks.) She says she then removed the radiator
Heater issue12 Dec 2005 22:37 GMT16
Another question for the knowledgeable folks here...
Our minivan has rear air and heat.  The front heat works great, but
the air coming through the rear vents is anywhere from cool to cold.
(Yes, I've checked the a/c controls <G>)
Suggestion for small OBDII Scantool12 Dec 2005 22:09 GMT3
I've already got Autotap for the laptop and it's a winner for
sure.   Problem is it's not that good for on the road diags
esp when you have an intermittent problem.  The only
way to catch these is to drive around with a scan tool
bad alternator?12 Dec 2005 07:26 GMT19
Late last night my friend asked me to check out his car, 1988 Honda Accord.
The alternator light had come on.  I checked the belt, it was tight and not
slipping.  I had a volt meter, so I checked the voltage at the battery.  It
was 11.7 volts.  This leads me to believe the ...
Cadillac Eldorado Electrical Problem (Alt Voltage Fluctuating)12 Dec 2005 07:11 GMT7
I have a Cadillac with an alternator that is producing an output
voltage that wanders all over the place.  I posted this problem not
too long ago, and someone advised me to check my grounding at several
nodes, which I have done.  The problem still remains, so I am looking
'94 Acclaim -No Headlights in Freezing Weather12 Dec 2005 04:25 GMT1
The headlights on my '94 Plymouth Acclaim won't work when the outside
temperature is below freezing. But they do work when the temperature rises
above freezing. All the other lights and electrical components work fine
regardless of the temperature. Any suggestions appreciated.
paintless dent repair, Los Angeles11 Dec 2005 17:19 GMT1
Being a poor dude I bought a used Avalon from Hertz.I was happy with
myself until my wife pointed out the dents I'd missed. A couple on the
hood, even a blind man should have been able to see, and after his
wife pointed them out, they seemed to take on a brilliant glow that

2000 Grand Am 3.4 Cutting out11 Dec 2005 17:10 GMT5
I had problems with this some time ago and there were several
suggestions
for the problem, first and foremost being a "dirty fuel filter" .  The
fuel filter was
98 Camry Knock at Rear Wheel11 Dec 2005 13:42 GMT4
I have a knock at the passenger side rear wheel on my 98 Camry. The
knock does not occur on all bumps but it sounds like something is loose
or broken. I've looked underneath several times now and can't seem to
locate the problem. The rear struts were replaced about 2 years ago at

Coolant leak advice needed...11 Dec 2005 02:39 GMT6
Now that it's cold and miserable to work on my truck, it's decided to
start a slight coolant leak that appears to be coming from the block
heater port (a.k.a. freeze plug if no block heater).
It's just a modest drip and would probably not be an issue if left for
poor electrical connection11 Dec 2005 02:20 GMT32
I have all ready read other posts but I am not sure where I can buy
"copper grease" or "dielectric" here in Canada so I thought I would
make my own post.
Last summer I replaced the windshield washer pump because the old one
