I recently bought a used 1994 Ford Taurus. I have read about all of the

LT1 5.7L overhaul literature  WAS Re: Rear disc brake pads change, 1996 Z28?10 Jan 2006 01:52 GMT2
I posted earlier asking for advice on changing rear disk brake pads on my 1996 Z28, and thanks for the advice on that one - one bit which was to invest a few bucks in a Haynes or Chiltons for the car (good advice).
Starting the car this morning revealed a relatively loud knock, ...
CV joint noise10 Jan 2006 01:33 GMT1

when making a sharp turn and that a bad inboard joint will make a
"clunking" sound when accelerating in forward direction.    But does
the clunking noise of a bad inner joint disappear when making sharp

Advantage of Multi-Color Taillights?09 Jan 2006 22:14 GMT53
In a mailing list I belong to, one of the other members commented how
much better European taillights are than "American" taillights becasue
the Eurpopeans use amber signal lights. Is there any basis for this
belief? I've never had any trouble identifying the intention of other
Is the use of "Nite Shades" on taillights legal?09 Jan 2006 20:17 GMT38
Is it legal to use the "Nite Shades" on taillight lens? This product
darkens the lens. It seems to me this must have an impact on the amount
of light emitted through the lens. Are there rules/regulations/laws
that are in conflict with this product?

I ran into an interesting problem, and im not sure exactly what

looks like a small trim tack or nail.
