Questions for the geniuses here.08 Jan 2006 15:19 GMT4
I need a bit of advice and some opinions here from all the geniuses.
I have a 91 legacy sedan which has just recently gone south on me.  I'm
wondering if it would be smart to try to get this car fixed, or if I should
have her replaced with something else.  If I do get another car, ...
What is it with German Tailights in the US08 Jan 2006 01:18 GMT81
Is there something special about German vehicle tailights that make
them susceptible to variations in brightness? Now that winter is here I
spent a lot more time driving in traffic in the dark. It seems to me

My mom is thinking of buying a 1997 Mercedes C230 sedan that a coworker is
selling to replace her current car (a 1997 Jetta). I saw the Mercedes -
there isn't much wrong with it other than the fact that the left rear
power window doesn't work. The engine compartment looks ...

Could anyone tell me a good place to look for a cheap new or used

Would a passenger's side mirror from the US fit a driver's side

5.7 litre GM intake manifold leak07 Jan 2006 03:46 GMT4
The wonderful plastic intake manifold...
My 2000 chev van with the 5.7 litre is using about 2 quarts of antifreeze
every three months or so.  I can smell antifreeze every once in while but
can't find a leak.  Lately I have thought that I could smell antifreeze in
Freeze Plug Replacement07 Jan 2006 03:18 GMT11
I replaced a freeze plug in my son's 1992 S-10 2.8.  Had to remove the
tire and still couldn't get a straight shot at it to drive in the
replacement.  Had to make a drift of a large dowel rod and it took
numerous attempts before I was finally able to drive it in flush.

Anyone,
I am repairing my 1993 Buick Regal Custom, 3.8L. I left it running when
I went into the store the other day, then when I drove it away it was

Results of Air Bag test06 Jan 2006 12:57 GMT3
Well I have now fired two seat mounted air bags under more or less
controlled conditions.  Not sure what Duncanwood was mumbling about but
all it takes is a low current 12 volt source connected to to the
appropriate wire and BANG, off it goes.  Smells remarkably like a very

In this case, does the entire assembly have to be replaced? if so, i'm
looking at around $450 not counting labor.
