lack of use = warped rotors?05 Jan 2006 21:57 GMT15
A family member has a 1996 Acura TL 2.5.  They had an accident a while back,
spring, and only recently we repaired the damage.  We took the car out for a
test drive and I noticed that when I hit the brakes, I get a strong pulsing
in the pedal.  I drove the car before the accident ...

Stupid mouse05 Jan 2006 20:42 GMT11
I popped the trunk to check the fluid levels in my 2004 Subaru Impreza
WRX.  I noticed some leaves and pine needles in a little depression.  I
thought it might have entered through the hood scoop, although it was
a little too coincidental.  I didn't think too much of it until I

Re:no-start on 2000 Chev Express van..Read in..05 Jan 2006 15:34 GMT2
Did this happen all of a sudden or have you had  no-starts before?  Usually an engine will give
an indication of trouble before it decides to not run at all. Ignition parts are always suspect with
a no-run condition but it could be just about anything. Without the computer error ...
no-start on 2000 Chev Express van05 Jan 2006 05:14 GMT3
I have a no-start on my chevy van, 2000 model year, 5.7 litre V8.  It cranks
fine, seems to cough when I stop cranking but won't otherwise even try to
fire.  I've been told that the "clear flood" mode is to crank with quarter
throttle, which hasn't helped.
5W20 Oil05 Jan 2006 03:14 GMT4
Does anyone sell 5W20 Oil in gallon or 5-quart jugs? I've only been able to
find it in quart bottles.

I am about to my take  Ford  Explorer Sport into the shop for what I think
is this intake manifold gasket problem I've read a lot about.  What can I
expect money-wise since this is a problem Ford is aware of ?
I understand its a service bulletin  item with them.
I want to pop an air bag04 Jan 2006 23:30 GMT8
Firstly an apology if I have got any protocols wrong - this is my first
posting.
I want to fire a few seat mounted air bags.  I will buy seats from
vehicle dismantler and try to find a couple of wires connected to what
Lost headlights and inst. cluster lamps04 Jan 2006 20:43 GMT4
Bizarro problem here. Vehicle is a 90 Grand Prix. Everything was fine
yesterday, then today no headlamps, running lamps, or instrument
cluster lamps. Fuses OK, voltage at fuses. My Haynes manual doesn't
specify a relay in line with anything, but when the switch is moved to

Bon-Ami for cleaning windshields04 Jan 2006 02:20 GMT39
I read somewhere long ago that Bon-Ami scouring powder was good for
cleaning automobile glass.  The can even says, "Hasn't scratched yet.",
with a picture of a little chick on it.
So I read the directions on a can of it today and it says, "Don't use
Cleaning fuel tank - safety tips04 Jan 2006 00:39 GMT7
I'm planning to remove my fuel pump and clean my fuel tank.
(The pump sits on top of the tank). But I am quite paranoid
about accidentally generating a spark and blowing myself up.
I will disconnect the battery before I start. Is there anything else
