trouble cold starting 90 Jetta17 Jan 2006 13:53 GMT1
I recently got a '90 Jetta.  When I picked it up it had been sitting in
the snow for a few weeks, but started right up no problem.  Recently,
it will crank and crank and sometimes catch.  Other times, it dies all
the way down and I have to jump or charge it back up.  My daily ...

I've a friend with a '95 Geo Metro. While driving it one day, it
coughed a couple of times, then -- to used his phrase -- it died. He's
already changed the coil, throttle body, fuel filter, the plug wires
and plugs, and he claims the fuel pump is working. Other possible

I have a '98 GMC Safari with front and rear AC.  Over the course of
just a day or two, the front system started blowing ambient temperature
air, but the rear system is still working fine.  I verified that the
temperature door is closing off warm air from the heater completely,

I have 89 maxima and run fine when engine is warm.  The problem I have

many, many times before I can get it to start.  Once the engine is
warmed up, I have no issue until the next day.  What is the problem?
Sam's Club service disaster17 Jan 2006 00:39 GMT48
I drive a 2000 Mazda Millenia with the 2.5L V6 and it has 96K miles. I
took the car to Sam's Club to get 4 new tires. I had gone in to get a
few items and came back out noticing my car was up on the lift with the
rims/tires off the car. It was at least 3 feet in the air, when I saw

I  have a 89 Nissan truck, and was told I have a "lazy" thermostat.  So I

and started up.  I had the top of the rad open to add more coolant, and

10% alcohol in Gas - what maintenence for older car ?15 Jan 2006 20:02 GMT64
Wisconsin is probably going to pass legislation requiring all gas sold
to be at least 10% ethanol.  I have heard Minnesota has gone to 20%.
