My God, this was supposed to be so easy!
After a plug blew out on me (VW Golf GTI), I did a lot of research and got
hold of a Helicoil - threaded coil type insert kit. The parts of the job
that I'd been led to believe would be difficult were a synch. I left the

My problem is with a 93 Geo Prizm, 80K miles.  I was out for about an hour
yesterday and noticed the dashboard temperature gauge stayed at cold the
entire time.  After some searching I get the impression I need a new
thermostat.  Is that the likely cause?  Is it safe to continue ...

1990 Seville, 4.5 V-8, when started up, panel reads "gear selector
problem". When I shift into "Drive", it goes away, but in reverse or park,
it reappears. What might the solution be?? Thanks

I'm considering installing a fiberglass spoiler to my car, so I read the
manufacturers installation instructions to see if I can do it myself. It
seems feasible, but the instructions left me with one question.
They say to scrub the fiberglass with 1,1,1,trichloroethane to clean ...

We have this 95 olds cutlass ciera in the shop with a Power steering noise,
just like it was low on fluid.
Fluid level is fine though.
We replaced the pump, and same problem.

I have a 1998 mazda protege that has real trouble starting the first
engine i had had a blown head gasket so i replaced the engine now the
new engine is doing the same thing it seems that after the vehicle sits
it looses compression but when you can get it to start it runs

of disassemby, check, replace worn out parts and reassemble?

does ANYONE know where I can get a banjo fitting for the inlet of a
Carter AFB that has an inverted flare (5/16" or 3/8") rather than a 3/8"
hose barb?  Trying to neaten up my underhood, but there seem to be only
two options, either to buy the really expensive line from Russell ...
