I have had two vehicles, a Saab 900turbo, and a Chrysler Cirrus, which
both developed heater core damage within a month of power flushing the
cooling system. Could the two be related?  In the latter case, the
Dodge dealer replaced the heater core under warranty and now there is a

Engine stopped due to radiator leakage11 Jan 2006 17:29 GMT2
The engine of my Corolla stopped and fumes were coming from the hood.
The oil temperature was high, but not too high. The car was fixed
because it was the garage's fault for not properly fitting a tube.
My question is: can this cause any permanent damage?

moisture proofing ignition?11 Jan 2006 15:56 GMT25
Any suggestions on moisture proofing an ignition system?
Yesterday it stalled at a light when cold and was missing after it warmed
up. I took it  home and wiped down the ignition wires, distributor cap,
and coil. Runs fine now. I had to wipe it down last summer too.

Rear disc brake pads change, 1996 Z28?10 Jan 2006 13:04 GMT6
I have a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro Z28.  This car has rear disc brakes.
Today I went to change the pads on the rear, and was a little surprised to see how different the configuration was from standard front disc brakes.
Any hints on changing these, maybe a link to an online procedure?  ...
Reading odometer in 1994 Ford Taurus10 Jan 2006 05:45 GMT2
I recently bought a used 1994 Ford Taurus. I have read about all of the
grief I may have with this car but I have a really simple question. The
odometer has only 6 digits with the 6th digit being black numbers on
white background. I read the owners manual but it is silent on reading

I have a 1995 t-bird that is close to 150K.  I just had major repairs
done to it, that hasn't needed before.  Before that, I had always kept
it serviced every 30-60K.  The problem was the head gasket and water
was in the oil.  This was repaired and the car sat at home in front of
