My car has aftermarket wheels and they are non-located -- ie. they do not sit over the wheel hub; they are only held on by the four studs and wheel nuts. Also they are somewhat heavier than the factory wheels.

I have a 2003 Galant and when ever it gets cold outside the brake pedal gets really hard. If I press the brake for a while it releases and the pedal acts like normal. The colder it is the longer it takes. Has anyone had this problem before? Does anyone know what causes this?
