91 honda civic14 Mar 2006 17:57 GMT8
my son was driving up hill and he lost any power to keep going, when I
tried, i could let the clutch all the way out and there was very little
power.  Some days later, I was able to drive it into the garage but had
to rev pretty high to do it.  What could this problem be?

Help with A/C diagnosis?14 Mar 2006 08:23 GMT4
Re: 1996 Chevy Silverado 1500 w/Vortech 350
Just warmed up enough here to turn the A/C on for the first time the other
day and it blew hot. It was working fine last season, so I figured it just
needed a recharge.
Muffler install on 325i14 Mar 2006 03:00 GMT10
How hard is it to install a muffler on E30 325?
I understand I'll need a dremmel tool for the bolts, which are likely
frozen beyond removal. What else? Do I need to do any bending? Should I
expect problems separating the mulffer piece from where it joins the
Autozone-branded full synthetic14 Mar 2006 02:53 GMT13
Is thre any information about the Autozone-branded full synthetic oil?
It is being sold in the usual passenger car weights, and is labeled as
meeting the same API certifications as the Mobil 1, Castrol, and other
synthetics. There is some suggestion on Usenet that it may not be made

Brakes - Hard pedal No Stopping - Intermittent But Serious Problem14 Mar 2006 00:05 GMT8
Recently I was unable to stop my 2000 Avalon with 4 wheel disc brakes

the roads were slippery / icy.  The temperature was just below freezing
and there was fresh snow polished by rush hour traffic on the smooth

Overhead cams have valve lifters ?13 Mar 2006 19:55 GMT5
I'm getting lots of loud clacking on a 96 Nissan Sentra 1.6 Liter.
Sounds like it's coming from the head. It has overhead cam, I believe.
I had thought OHC did not use hydraulic valve lifters, so I thought
sludged up lifters  would NOT be causing the clacking.

Problem with clutch - bad smell.....Any ideas?13 Mar 2006 00:28 GMT14
I own a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara (and have owned it for over two
years).  Recently, it has started to emit a really bad burning smell
immediately after riding the clutch a bit (like when I am pulling out
of a parallel parking spot on a hill).
