| Best MPG : 5-speed vs. auto? | 14 Apr 2006 17:31 GMT | 61 |
Assuming an identical car, let's say a 4-cyl Honda or a Subaru or Toyota, which would get better MPG -- one with automatic tranny or 5-speed? I understand that 5 speeds vs. 4 gives a better selection of rpms,

| rotor replacement on a 1994 F-150 | 14 Apr 2006 16:18 GMT | 3 |
i'm going to help my brother replace the calipers, pads, and rotors (and am thinking about swapping in some steel braided lines) on his '94 F-150. just the front; i'm leaving the rear drum brakes along. i'm far from an expert mechanic, but knowing my limitations and knowing when

I have a 95 Grand Prix GTP, but I have only owned it for about a year and I'm not sure if it's performing as well as it should. I've done regular oil changes, as well as had the fuel and air filters replaced, changed the spark plugs, had the catalytic converter changed, and had

| brand new GM Goodwrench engine fails New Jersey emissions | 13 Apr 2006 14:55 GMT | 6 |
Bought a brand new 350 from the local dealer for only $1744 for my 220K miles '94 Suburban. The old one had barely flunked the ASTM 5015 elevated rpm "roller" test for CO (10% high) and HC (5% high). It was "using" oil; I never found a leak but had to add 2-3 quarts every 7500

| 3.1L - Once warm wont restart | 13 Apr 2006 13:43 GMT | 4 |
I picked up a 1991 Firebird 3.1L that starts & runs fine when cold, I can stop and restart as much as I want, until it reaches full operating temperature. Once warm it will not restart. It starts but dies immediately until it is completely cooled down.

| Old Sear & Roebeck 1kw Generator | 13 Apr 2006 10:02 GMT | 1 |
Anyone out there have a wiring diagram for these old units? I can "peg" out the wiring with an ohmeter and figure out (mostly) what the wires are for, but it would sure be nice to know. It's a model 3149..... I'm looking at converting it to use in a wind powered project,

| Beretta toe problem solved | 13 Apr 2006 05:44 GMT | 2 |
Amazing what happens when Canadian Tire calibrates their equipment. The rear toe magically went from -3/8" to +1/8" on the left. Everything is now back in spec. Coincidentially, the numbers are virtually the same as the December alignment in the rear.

| Radiator Resevoir Filled With Grey Gunk... | 13 Apr 2006 03:11 GMT | 8 |
If a radiator fill resevoir is filled with grey foam-looking gunk, does that mean oil is mixing with the coolant? This car does not have a radiator cap. This is on a 95 Saturn sedan.
