1996 plymouth neon shut down while driving08 Apr 2006 05:14 GMT1
My 1996 Plymouth Neon shut off while driving to work.  Still had power,
lights, etc.  Would not start up again.  Just cranks over.  Tried to start
with starting fluid to determine if fuel pump went out but no success.  Any
suggestions? Please help.

Oil Pressure Question08 Apr 2006 00:25 GMT9
I had a mechanic do an oil presure test on my 96 Nissan Sentra 1.6
Liter engine (DOHC GA16DE). His oil pressure  gauge read ZERO at hot
idle, and only about 15 psi at 1500 to 2000 rpm.
There is a lot of valve clatter when the engine is warmed up.
Unusual Brake Problem07 Apr 2006 22:48 GMT3
I got into my 99 Mazda Protege and backed out of my driveway.  Creeping
back slowly I applied the brakes and the car took about 4 feet to stop
when it should of pretty much stopped on a dime.  I went forward and
back...same thing--it took a long time to stop at normal pedal
Cavalier Overheating07 Apr 2006 19:34 GMT2
96', 2.2 Cavalier overheating.
Had the engine pressure tested as it was my understanding that these
cars are prone to head/head gasket problems, which might turn up as an
engine overheat.  Pressure test said the engine was a-okay.

Ranger transmission I.D.?07 Apr 2006 17:38 GMT1
I need a 5 speed manual transmission for a 1994 two wheel drive 4
cylinder Ranger. A ford mechanic told me there were several different
transmissions used for that model. I want to buy a used one, but don't
want to get one that doesn't bolt up? Any help would be appreciated!
JBweld on intake manifold?07 Apr 2006 17:21 GMT9
I have an old v8 motor with an inlet manifold that is a bit worse for
wear.  It's around a couple of the water jacket areas on the face that
is against the heads,  it had corroded a bit to the point that water
will easily leak past.
Nissan Sentra questions07 Apr 2006 16:25 GMT5
Still looking for a commuter vehicle to save some fuel, but the
Corollas / Prizms are gone before I can go see them.
I see an occasional Nissan Sentra in the papers that I'm interested in
and wondered what kind of mileage the little 1.6 liter engine gets.

Japanese Vehicle Service Rant07 Apr 2006 14:52 GMT7
OK, we have two new Japanese vehicles in the family and although they are
fine vehicles, it is clear that the Japanese manufacturers don't give a damn
about serviceability. I would particualrly like to stand a few of Honda
engineers up against the wall. Are they so stupid that ...
How to pull the brake rotors off a 97 Honda Accord?07 Apr 2006 14:45 GMT6
During the timing belt adventure I noted my front left rotor has some
respectable grooves in it.  At 128k miles I figure I've gotten enough
life out of them and have decided to replace the pair, along with new
shoes and pads.
