I'm wondering about the feasability of recreating the appearance of classic American autos, like the '57 Chevy & such; but with lighter materials and hybridized engines. Imagine driving a '48 Studebaker -- but getting 50 miles to the gallon.

I have 1989 GMC Safari and have removed the timing cover to replace oil seal, chain and sprockets. I did not lower the oil pan to remove the cover. Is it reasonably possible to reinstall the cover without removing the oil pan or can you loosen only the front and lower it

I'm thinking about putting a Weber on my car, a 1985 Corolla SR5. The current carb on the car has a lot of vacuum lines connected to it, the guys at Weber said I can just plug most of them as they are just emission controls.
