In the U S South regions where the temps in the summer time reach 100° - I hate the idea of using 5W30 wt. motor oil - even tho it is a factory recommendation. what do you think?

I have a 1987 Chevy Silverado that is not getting power to the fuel pumps. It has duel tanks and neither of them are working. I changed the tank selector switch and checked all the fuses under the dash. The motor will turn over but no fuel no fire. All other acc. work fine.

I am perplexed about my car's battery dying. It died a few days ago for no apparent reason, I had it jumped and it's re-charged and has started fine each time since then. I drive a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara with about 71,000kms. Battery appears to be in great shape.
