'88 Mazda 626 - clutch pedal stays down16 Apr 2006 07:51 GMT4
Hello.  I have a 1988 Mazda 626. A few days ago, the clutch pedal stopped
coming all the way back up after I changed gears. For a day or so I could
change gears okay but not it's to the point where I can't change gears and
thus can't drive it.
Transmission fluid: To Change or Not to Change16 Apr 2006 07:17 GMT10
I have a 2000 Mazda Protoge ES, automatic transmission, with only 45K
miles. I'm not having any transmission problems. The local oil change
chain has commented several times that my transmission fluid is dirty,
and should be changed. They recommend the flush. I called two big local
Dome Light16 Apr 2006 06:29 GMT1
I have a '99 cavalier.  The dome light turns on by itself.  The car was
parked with no one around it when it turned on, and while you're driving it
blinks on and off.  It blinked enough that it blew the bulb.  What could be
causing it to do that?

Buying a Mazda Question16 Apr 2006 01:11 GMT6
Spotted a 2001 Mazda MPV in a small second hand car lot, the saleman
claim that the car has only done 24000Miles(38900km), and only one
owner.  Had a good look of the tires, it seems that the tires need
immediately replacement.

Odd leakdown test, good compression, advice needed14 Apr 2006 23:50 GMT5
Hello, Helped some relatives find an inexpensive and good car, exhaust
leak sound near the manifold or downpipe. Needed a timing belt.  it
smoked like the dickens off idle, and had a nasty clatter near #3. I
figured it needed valve stem seals, maybe lifters, if it needed guides
PCV valve...?14 Apr 2006 23:40 GMT8
OK, as some of you probably are aware I have a '55 Studebaker with a '63
Studebaker engine in it.  The PCV valve attached to this engine has
ceased to perform as a valve, it's more of a metered orifice at this
point.  After several dousings with carb cleaner it still won't ...

Consequences of a bad engine mount?14 Apr 2006 23:18 GMT2
My 05 Maxima SE (25,000 miles) , when hot, sometimes sounds like a
very rough diesel at idle and row RPMs.
A dealership mechanic finally heard the vibration (I happened to be
near the dealership when the problem re-occured) and said it
Diagnosing ATF Leak ('93 Infiniti G20)14 Apr 2006 23:06 GMT2
I've noticed my G20 leaves behind a sizable puddle of ATF wherever it
is parked.  This has been going on for a few months now.  Oddly, I
haven't noticed a significant drop in ATF level on the dipstick.  The
power steering fluid is also ok.  Looking under the car, there is a

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read my mammoth post.
I bought a Ford 1990 Van about 6 months ago. It only had 80,000 miles
on it, bought it from an old couple who just used it to take trips to
Florida. Anyways, the van runs great, never gave me a problem (besides

'88 Legend: CV, Ball Joint Boots14 Apr 2006 19:36 GMT2
I'm replacing an axle on my '88 Acura Legend. Both outer CV joint
boots were torn, but I believe only the left axle was making noise.
(Noise was mostly in right turns, and it sounded like it was coming
from the left.) I am also noticing that the upper ball joint boots are
