Transaxle stuck in park, can't even go in neutral08 May 2006 04:22 GMT5
I have a 1995 Buick Lesabre with shifting problems.  It is front wheel
drive.  When I start the car and apply brake to shift out of park to
drive/neutral/reverse  doesnt matter, you can hear the car like it
engages in gear but stays in park.  The car wont move in any gear.  If

I have a 91 crown vic, that won't start when it rains, when its damp,
when its moist or when snow is melting, even the day after a rain or

Photo radar bill in Calif - will pass if motorists say nothing07 May 2006 23:21 GMT25
California Senate Bill 1300 will allow automated SPEEDING ticket cameras
- also known as photo radar - to be mailed to you.  It's in the state
senate right now.   Presently, the bill is restricted to a pilot program
in only one town, Beverly Hills, and only in 25 mph zones.  But ...
Ford 5.0 Liter Timing Chain Cover07 May 2006 19:58 GMT2
After snapping off a bolt while replacing the water pump I ended up pulling
off the timing chain cover to get access to the broken bolt.
The problem is that the oil pan gasket looks like it's one piece and it tore
right under the crankshaft.
Painting Cabl Light Lenses07 May 2006 16:13 GMT5
I've got an 06 Silverado and am dying to put cab lights on it, but I
dont want the same thing everybody else has.  I was wandering if I

'96 Mazda Protege Exhaust Manifold Torque Specs07 May 2006 04:20 GMT3
Hi.  Just replaced a cracked exhaust manifold on my daughter's '96
Protege.  All that's left is to torque the bolts down.  It has the 1.6L
DOHC engine.  According to the Haynes manual I have, the torque specs
are 28-34 ft. lbs. for that engine up through 1998.  1999 and later,
Fuel Pump Timer? Pump Location?07 May 2006 03:44 GMT20
I successfully changed the fuel pump on my 2001 Ford Ranger 3.0L 126"
wheelbase, flex-fuel truck [1]. But I have some unanswered questions,
and they'll plague me the rest of my life if they remain so.
Is there a fuel pump timer? How does it work, and where is it?

Speed Sensor Replaced~Now What?06 May 2006 23:54 GMT2
I've just finished replacing my vehicle speed sensor on my '94 Buick
Century due to erratic shifting/broken speedometer. Still no good! The
speedo still doesn't register (its dead on 0, just as if the car is
shut off) and of course the odometer doesn't work. The trans still
Used car recommendations06 May 2006 22:36 GMT6
Hi - I usually come to this group in search of repair advice and you
guys have always been very helpful.  Since many of you deal with auto
repair as a profession, I thought this would be the best place to ask
for used car advice.  Basically I want to get rid of my 1998 Chevy
OBD Code....What now P042206 May 2006 20:25 GMT1
OK I have the code....some info says it might mean a bad gas cap or

Does anyone have further troubleshooting info or a link to a good web
site that has details about each code?

how to defeat chevy anti-theft feature06 May 2006 18:50 GMT2
My 99 suburban has an anti-theft feature that is somehow related to
battery removal.  It seems that if you remove or replace the battery it
goes into a mode where it will start but will not run.  After scouring
the service manual for an hour I found a way to reset it.  It involves
