98 Windstar Loses Coolant02 May 2006 01:25 GMT5
My 1998 Windstar with the 3.8L engine loses coolant. The cooling system
has been pressure tested twice, no external leaks were found.
I understand these engines are prone to timing cover gasket and lower
intake manifold gasket leaks. How do I determine if one of the problems
1998 Park Ave. ticking when accelerating01 May 2006 22:59 GMT11
I have a 98 Park Ave with 128k on the motor.
It seems to run fine but at times the acceleration is weak.
- When I start it in the morning it starts great but it makes a slight
noise and sounds a little loud (like exhaust?).

I've got a leak in the power steering system of my 87 325 (E30/M20) and am
waiting for parts to get here but need to drive my car in the meantime.  In
order to not ruin the pump I'm looking to take the belt off until the parts

1996 Dodge Intrepid -- still acting up, dammit01 May 2006 20:20 GMT4
Recently I posted here looking for opinions on why my '96 Intrepid was
lurching and losing power and why the speedometer needle was jumping
all over the place. I had a couple of speed sensors w/ wiring harnesses
replaced, which took care of that problem... but ever since then, it's

'93 Olds Achieva base OHC quad motor- same as Grand Am, Skylark. My oil
pressure guage is "waving" at me. I just changed the oil, no leaks,

sensor. Anyone?
CAIRS the future01 May 2006 08:27 GMT7
Compressed air powerd Cars = Cairs are the future.  It makes so much
more sense than hydrogen fuel cells and electric powered cars.
1.  No nasty heavy, degrading batteries!
2.  Quick refill times from tank stations!
Removing crossover pipe01 May 2006 01:37 GMT7
I have to remove the two bolts that hold the crossover pipe to the
exhaust manifold in order to remove the oil pan to replace the gasket.
The bolts go through the flange and thread into the manifold. There
are no nuts on the end.
