97 ford taurus brakes24 May 2006 05:30 GMT3
Hi all I am hoping that someone can help me out. My parents who are
older have a 97 Ford Taurus that has been sitting in the driveway for
awhile and when I drove it I noticed the brake pedal seemed squishy and
goes down quite low towards the floor board when I apply the brakes. Now

Question About Using Parking Brakes With Automatic Transmissions23 May 2006 05:01 GMT18
Are there any benefits to setting the parking brake before you put an
automatic transmission in Park? I've done this for years partly to use
the parking brake cable to prevent it from freezing up due to lack of
use, and partly because if I'm parked on even a slight grade, setting

Wide Wheel Well Gap?22 May 2006 21:31 GMT4
I noticed today that the gap in one of the front wheel wells (gap
between the top of the tire and body) is way wider than that of the
three other tires;  I can fit my fist inside.  The other gaps are
relatively narrow.  (98 accord sedan).

How to fix a bent radiator support on 1992 Camaro22 May 2006 20:57 GMT11
I had a very slow moving rear ender to a SUV.  It bent my hood back a
little, (replaced), and bend back my radiator support a bit.  (5-10
degrees)
I would like to try to fix the radiator support myself.

I will look into this with google, just in case someone has some experience
to share, I post this anyway.
I had to let a car outside this winter, and regretted seeing it covered with
snow and rain. This spring I had the windows open a bit, just to have it

weedeater carburetor: how does it work?22 May 2006 15:54 GMT12
I'm used to lawnmower carburetors - gravity feed, bowl, float, etc.  Now, I'm
looking at a weedwhacker, which is a little different.  It has a diaphram that
controls the needle valve, which seems clear enough.  But, I don't see how the
diaphram is operated.

Sprayed down engine, now car runs horribly!22 May 2006 15:05 GMT18
I looked under the hood of my car (95 Grand Prix GTP) and it was quite
dirty, so I decided to spray it down with the hose. After spraying it
down and waiting about an hour for it to dry, I decided to start it up.
Immediately there was a large 'clunk' sound (possibly a backfire?) but
