Gumout Engine Flush...Good or Paint Thinner?01 Jul 2006 00:02 GMT8
I saw the Jugs at my Pep Boys. I'm using Auto-Rx on my Corolla now,
though I think it isn't strong enough. Has anyone used Gumout Engine
Flush? Can it completely screw up my engine or is it a magic bullet for
sludged engines? Any other suggestions for flushing: Schaeffers Neutra

I have a 92 Mazda Protege SE. 1.8 L SOHC 16 Valve Manual Transmission.
It has been giving me problems for a while but now its really gotten
bad. Today after work I started up the car and the idle was jumping
around and I had the gas stomped and it was staying reved at about 2500

I have a 99 Monte Carlo and my Hazards don't work at all.  And the only
way I can get my Turn Signals to work is if I hold them up or down
without actually clicking it over.  My windshield wipers work fine,
brake lights work, headlights work.  Just my turn signals and Hazard

Last summer my RL brakes overheated so much that the pads melted to the
disc.  I took it into meineke (not happy with the local dealer's
previous work) and they replaced the calipers, etc.
The symptom would be a howling just after releasing the brakes after

A buddy's 96 Buick with 3.8 and auto tranny acted up this weekend and asked
if i knew what may be wrong.  I don't of course so posting the qestions.
He was driving at about 60mph with cruise on and noticed the tach moving up
to 4000 rpm and car was slowing down.  Tapped brake and ...

My 94 Grand Prix starts, revs up to about 3000 rpm, and stalls withing
a couple seconds.  I've got fuel and spark, but it still stalls.  Mass
airflow sensor, or maybe O2 sensor?  Can someonepoint me in the right
direction?

Are calipers supposed to move freely once it's fitted?
GM service manual says "The brake caliper should move easily within the
brake caliper bracket"
I'm not sure about this though...once the caliper bolts are tightened,

The truck has 15000 miles on it and has been thru 3 engines due to
pre-detonation. Timing is correct but jumps around a bit, have verified
chain to be OK. has new distributer and pickup, ICM checks OK, Ive been
thru idle air , map & 02 sensors , any ideas what else could cause this

monitor recalibrated because the warning light/chime was going off and on
every minute or two whenever the passenger seat was empty.
