I just bought an B&M Auto Trans drain plug kit. I'm thinking of just draining the tranny by using my dremel to drill a small hole where the plug is going to go. Then I'll widen it out the the appropriate width with a drill bit after removing the pan.

Looking at a '98 328i with 144K miles, 5-spd. It has no maintenance records whatsoever. Assuming nothing has been done to it, the mileage is such that it's heading into the major repairs zone, IMO.

I'm trying to replace my car battery but old battery acid has covered the negative terminal. I have wiped away the excess acid but it has gotten in the ridges of the screw, causing me to have a hard time unscrewing the nut. Any help or suggestions as to how I can unscrew it
