I'd like to know if the automatic transmission needs a liquid
replacement and if yes, after what period?

1994 Buick Regal29 Jun 2006 00:54 GMT2
I recently have been noticing that my battery gauge has been going down
drastically to about 9-10 with everything on (turn signals, radio,
headlights, etc.). But when everything is off- the voltage goes back to
13.
AUTO AC suction pressure low29 Jun 2006 00:36 GMT6
I have an '88 New Yorker that has been converted to 134.
I've vacuumed out the system and added two cans of R134, this worked
fine for a while but stopped cooling after 15 minutes. System is still
charged.
QUESTION: 1996 Ford 4.6L Intake Manifold29 Jun 2006 00:18 GMT2
I have a 1996 Ford Mustang GT with the 4.6L V8. My car's engine had the
famous junky intake manifold that leaked coolant. About 2 years ago I
bought an aftermarket intake with the improved design and installed it
myself. The intake fit perfectly and worked perfectly...with NO leaks
please stop! TV shows reinforcing bad habits...28 Jun 2006 21:37 GMT7
currently watching "Trucks" on Spike while looking online for parts for
my '55 STude project... I swear they've had at least 3 or 4 shots of
someone tightening down a nut with an impact wrench in the last 5
minutes!  Impacts are for loosening, torque wrenches are for tightening.

When Fan on HI spd, AC Compressor Clutch releases...?
90 Nissan 240SX w/ factory AC - the HVAC fan has 4 speeds + off. Using
the fan at up to speed 3: AC does a pretty good job of keeping the car
cool almost up to triple digit temps outside. Once outside hits 100+ it

OBD error code 0740.
brake inlet hose bolt27 Jun 2006 23:32 GMT12
I stripped the bolt on the inlet brake hose while trying to replace the
caliper.
I got the new hose but it didn't come with the bolt.
Can I use any bolt that fits the thread of the caliper?  Is there
95 Corolla starting problem27 Jun 2006 23:10 GMT11
It started as an intermittent problem. Occasionally I had to crank
several times to start. Once it is started it runs well. This happened
when the engine is hot as well as when it is cold.
Now it got worse and does not start when I crank. The engine turns.

Intermittent Starting - 'Lazy' Starter Solenoid or ...?
I've got a 90 Nissan 240SX 4cyl 5spd w/ about 140K mi. About 10% of the
time  or more(started recently) you turn the key to start and nothing
happens. Try again and it 'usually' starts on 2nd or maybe 3rd try.
99 GMC Safari, check engine soon27 Jun 2006 11:38 GMT1
I have a 99 GMC safari that was working fine until later today that my

the side and cheked the trans oil level and it seems to be within the

Methyl Hydrate27 Jun 2006 04:54 GMT35
I see lots of folks who claim that putting an amount of methyl hydrate
in the tank prior to an emissions test, can help lower HC/CO
I am considering giving it a try on my older vehicle with a car that is
giving me fits being just barely over the edge on both HC and CO, but
Starter Problem - 95 Grand Prix GTP27 Jun 2006 03:56 GMT3
I'm having an interesting, itermittent problem with starting my 95 GTP.
The odd time when I try starting, I will only get a click (starter
solenoid I assume) and the interior lights will dim, but the starter
will not engage. Usually if I try it again right away it fires up
